Kerala has, in relation to other more capitalist states in India, with a Commie/Socialist regime for over 50 years post Independence. A left-wing success story, don't you know. Now add workers rights across the Western World and other positive advances for those 'at the coal face' because of left-wing activism and it kind of puts your pathological hatred of anything not 'of The Right' in the 'special ward' where it belongs. Now that Trump has said "From this day forward, it's going to be only America First, America First. Every decision on trade, on taxes, on immigration, on foreign affairs will be made to benefit American workers and American families."

Couldn't agree more and we trade with them already without a 'trade deal'. Looks like China v. America trade war in view of the new president's protectionist statements. Makes brexit look irrelevant.

Partly privatised. The government is still the major fund source for its *pardon the pun* operation. All German citizens are insured with comprehensive coverage paid for by employer and employee, not unlike NI contributions here. The Federal Ministry of Health controls all aspects of state healthcare and profiteering is not allowed with regard to the health of the people. Something that would be great to have here but wouldn't get off the ground whilst the Right hold sway. Too socially responsible and not enough money to be made.
