Post match comments from the NBCSN crew (Arlo White & Lee Dixon) suggested FA was looking at video already. Their take was Jacob suckered Alli into retaliating. Also thought TP told WBA to try winding him up.

Alli got away with an unprovoked and sly knee drop into Cabaye's neck/back that must have hurt. As I recall MOTD (and especially Lineker) made Wickham's digression into a bit of a crusade for an FA enquiry/review and a ban, yet played down Alli's challenge as "clumsy" and not worthy of review. I hope they throw the book at Alli. Karma! Edited by Hoof Hearted (26 Apr 2016 11.14am)

He's a repeat offender for this now. Word is out that he can be wound up and will then lash out, so it's a big risk to play him in high-pressure games. At least, that is, until he has matured enough to cut out that s***.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

Also, Jedi's and Wickham's bans were for very similar offenses.

Just as his defense of Vardy ("That was no dive that was a penalty" tweet) has nothing to do with his being a big Foxes supporter/former player? There are far too many non-card carrying match officials in the punditry business. I doubt most of them could pass a written test on the Laws, even if it was open-book!

Bit harsh, he's just a bit young, and that argy bargy was just handbags, leave the lad alone He might be a "bit young" and a good player, but he's also a sneaky, snidey little c*nt who would be a massive liability in a big tournament. If I was Woy I'd tell him to f*ck right off until he's grown up enough not to be a nasty little sh*t who tries to hurt oppo players every couple of weeks.

Funny thing is alli says he was provoked and their manager said he was targeted. Really? Why would a team target their best player, can't understand it..lol if he thinks he's being provoked by WBA wait till he comes up against the Italians, Germans, etc.

If he isn't mature enough to cope with a bit of provocation, he isn't mature enough to play for his country. Put him on the naughty step until his balls have dropped and he understands he has a responsibility not to be a petulant w*nker.

If anyone thinks Alli should be banned for England just remember Jedinak's moment of madness. And he's a seasoned pro. Edited by Stuk (26 Apr 2016 11.27pm)

He should get a two match ban but not to pick him for the Euros is cutting off one's nose to spite one's face. He is a match winner that could be the difference between winning and going to penalties. There are enough wise heads in the England side to square him away.
