I'm no expert in these matters but why would you have the medical before personal terms have been agreed? I'd have thought it to be more logical the other way round. But what do I know.....

It'd be mad for both parties not to know they're in the same ballpark beforehand (it would be no good if he was expecting £250k a week, for example), but you can be sure both sets of lawyers need to scrutinise the fine detail before the ink's allowed to dry.

But there are variations to this "Theme" with various factors coming into the equation ! Can get very complicated and convuluted !
