Hrolf The Ganger is, of course, spot on. This has been a far more grown up process than Labour's. There haven't been months and months of multi-candidate debates that tear a party apart. Within a week we had two candidates, when it became clear to Leadsom herself that she wasn't up to the job over the weekend she decided to quit the race.

To me, Leadsom has shown the kind of principles that Corbyn should show now, or actually should have shown a year ago. Labour are a complete joke, and now they're calling for a snap election! Have they completely lost their mind, it's like turkeys voting for Christmas, they'll be annihilated. Madness.

Because they do no think ahead or of the consequences, only of the effect of what they're saying in the moment or with regard to the opposition in question. When they answer or object to something they use the textbook answer regardless of its result.

They would be better off organising themselves over the next 3 years before building up to GE 2020 or a possible GE if there is a vote of no confidence or a serious UK financial or European led financial crisis. Italy shows no signs of reducing debt to GDP of about 140% so I wouldn't be surprised if that sparks a crisis off within 3-4 years.

Its difficult for Jeremy Corbyn as there is no labour media of note so his campaign mainly ignored.

Has won 4 the last 4 by elections including marginals because he addresses the issues that people are feeling like how the hell will I ever get a place to live and the only politician to suggest austerity be changed as it doesn't work.

Corbyn bashers give him and us a break let us hear him

Trying to omit him from the ballot paper? Give over

He hasn't contested any by-elections.

Let us hear him? The useless f***er doesn't say anything. The labour party is going to be split and done for if he sticks around. No questions.

Labour wouldn't win a snap election. Why on earth are some Labourites calling for one?

It's bonkers.

just an observation, but her husband, Philip May, was President of the Oxford Union in 1979. The year before was Alan Duncan, the year after was Michael Crick.

So Mr May is clearly a political person in his own right. Nothing wrong with that at all, but I doubt he will be a 'Dear Bill' consort.

He has been a banker/fund manager for many years. The media should be doing a little digging into his political philosophy and financial history as well as it is relevant to the new order.

But you only serve a single Oxford Uni term as "President".Not sure if he served during Hilary. Michaelmas or Trinity.
