They would definitely fit better into the ethos of this country and be less trouble..... A stairway to Heaven and a Highway to Hell give some indication of expected traffic numbers

We could simply take our agreed quota by selecting all the Christian Syrians from the camps - where they are still suffering persecution at the hands of Muslims. They would definitely fit better into the ethos of this country and be less trouble.....

Here's a thought. how about the neighbouring rich as fcuk Arab countries take some on ? Or the British Army has just left Camp Bastion one and two I'm pretty sure they could with a bit of a lick of paint and some groundwork, be brought up to speed and house thousands of immigrants. Much cheeper in the long run, safer, clean water medical facilities, proper accommodation and certainly closer. As it was a UN enclave for the Op Herrick it is easily defended (given the right staff etc etc) but still I'm sure you catch my drift. how about the neighbouring rich as fcuk Arab countries take some on ?

Or the British Army has just left Camp Bastion one and two I'm pretty sure they could with a bit of a lick of paint and some groundwork, be brought up to speed and house thousands of immigrants. Much cheeper in the long run, safer, clean water medical facilities, proper accommodation and certainly closer.

As it was a UN enclave for the Op Herrick it is easily defended (given the right staff etc etc) but still I'm sure you catch my drift.

Yes but why, How many Arab(and neighbouring) countries do you think would take in British "asylum seekers" if the roles where reversed ?

Well, if we're talking about a hypothetically oppressive Britain that some how had a civil war or was dominated by a murderous regime, there is no reason to not assume that the countries you speak of wouldn't have become liberal democracies.

The point of offering humanitarian aid and refuge from oppression, is that its humanitarian. It doesn't matter whether an oppressive regime would do the same from British Citizens, because the action of asylum is aimed at people, not the states creating refugees.
