Can we swap Lily Allen for some migrants, and how many would be an acceptable amount for the right wing for the pleasure of never having to hear from Allen again.

I have no problem with famous people adopting causes which they feel strongly about. Quite the opposite in fact, there is a very long list of celebrities who sacrifice a lot of time as well as a fair bit of money supporting various causes.

Allen has no previous for this cause, dropped in, made mad a crass statement and then buggered off. There was a debate on the Beeb on Sunday, I only caught a bit of it but the pastor from Croydon (who has made several aid trips) made some very valid points regarding how uninformed she is.

I understand why she cried, I would don't doubt that I would be brought to tears. However what could have been a positive bit of action has now become negative which is a shame.

There is a big issue with people turning up without ID claiming to be children. I am sure I heard / read a report over the weekend that as many as 40% are "dubious"

I wouldn't mind letting them all in if

a) we had the resources and people already here needing help.

b) it didn't mean more and more try to come over.

Hearing stories about multi lingual doctors staying in the camp. Why are they not stopping elsewhere or going elsewhere now?

And the sanctimonious celebrities on the tv need to look up the difference between economic migrant and refugee.
