Sako is a luxury player, you can see why we bought him and he'll grab goals in the Championship but in the Premier League he's more likely to cost you a goal than provide one. Maybe Pardew is the wrong manager for him, I can see a manager that is more focused on defensive shape and fitness being able to sort out the problematic areas of his game.

Couldn't care less what stats say what, he's useless.

Luxury?

From Xmas onwards we had almost more first teamers in the treatment room than on the field: cue rapid slide down table.

With both Bolasie and Sakho side-lined and other options not really working, our "famous" wing play relied almost wholly on Zaha. The trouble was every team we played knew this. Shut him out; shut down team. Consequently, he was the most fouled player in the prem.

Notwithstanding this treatment, he played on manfully and provided fans with almost nothing to cheer, that little spark of something.

Hence - POTY.

Sakho, on the other hand, scored 2 goals in his first 2 games; went missing; went sick; never really came back.

Doesn't play for us.

Even when he scored goals I didn't think he was all that.

Looks to me like he's feeling a little bit flat and has got on the Just Eat app on his phone.

Looked excellent.
Got injured.
came back.
Ever since then: s***e.

Hope this doesn't happen with Souare, hos injury is of the sort that may well make a player never the same again. Fingers crossed.

Not privy to the terms and conditions of your average premier league football contract but the idea that someone is paid tens of thousands of pounds a week to be a professional athlete but can't maintain a fit body weight is a bit sick really.

Not just seen this with Sako but Chamakh as well. Maybe fining their wages is the kick up their very fat arses they need to stop them from letting themselves go.

Sako is hopeless. Stats can be interpreted any way you want. He scored in both of his first two games for us and we all thought we had a real player on our hands. For some reason he never got near reproducing that form after that and now he is surplus to requirements. I dread to think how many people bought shirts with hair s name on it after his first two games but they probably wished they hadn't.

..the problem here is that he produced two good performances at the start, being the case he could quite well produce more of these given the opportunity to lose some weight and gather some awareness around him prior to receiving the ball and then using his eyeballs to pass to a fellow player...he could do it.

But what a shot he possesses.

Right guys, thanks for your responses and allowing me time on your forum and giving me the odd chuckle (I mean that in a nice way I'm not taking the piss).

I'll leave you in peace, if anyone has anything to add I'll keep an eye on any further responses.

I might give this thread a friendly nudge in the future if there's any 'movement' on Sako, not trying to prove a point, more curious on your thoughts as you're ITK.

Good luck to your forum going forward and to Crystal Palace.

Bye for now

The Pig
