Who in the world worships the Proclaimers or Deacon Blue? I've never met a single person that even half likes either of those.

Babymetal - Gimmick joke metal band for dummies
Metallica (post Puppets) - First 3 albums are classics though
Bring Me the Horizon - lead singer is an utter t**t

I like Babymetal - its kind of an excellent 'pop' version of metal, and surprisingly cheery, in a decade of very serious metal music. Best addition to the genre since The Birthday Massacre (massively underrated).

I think the 4th Metallica album is better than Kill em All, but generally agree, post Justice for All, Metallica were a spent force.

Fair enough. But personally, I'd put Steel Panther over Babymetal anyday of the week. Some SP tracks are hilarious and they don't take themselves so seriously. Babymetal look and sound like a bad X-Factor reject band who never made it past the auditions. But then again, I'm an abject philistine

I actually like Kill Em All because of its raw sound, but have a soft spot for the Black Album (only 2 tracks though)

The Black Album is their only album I like (although I liked "One" from Justice For All). But I think that probably just proves I like the more commercial side to them. Black Album was pretty accessible.

True. I just prefer Kill, Ride and Master because how raw and fast they sounded. But if others like the Black Album, then I can't really complain.

I am going to add R.E.M. to the list.

I hate 'socially conscious' musicians. Michael Stipe is a bellend. Plus their music is terrible.

they were on tv this past weekend. maybe have a new album or something. didn't watch it long enough to figure out but more self-absorbed annoying human beings would be tough to come by. and their music sucks.
