I absolutely love Kate Bush - but it took a long time to happen.

Bowie - great singles, s**t albums, except for Hunky Dory - which is an absolute gem among a pile of mediocre filler.

Heathen. You not the album. That wasn't great tbf but I challenge you to listen to 'Low' especially and then 'Diamond Dogs' again and perhaps 'Aladdin Sane' and 'Young Americans'. All recorded within three years of each other in times when The Brotherhood of Man were the most popular pop group. One guy. An artistic genius.

On the death of Bowie I dug out my copy of Ziggy Stardust and it was still s**t. In fairness I haven't tried Low or Diamond Dogs, on the basis of having spent money and time on other 'so called great Bowie albums'.

The man also managed to f**k up the Stooges 'Raw Power'

I have a odd soft spot for Meatloaf. Its most certainly s**t, but Hits out of Hell is also, when in the right frame of mind, hilarious fun.

But its definitely s**t and massively popular - which I think says what you need to know about humanity in general.

Yeah Ziggy never did it for me and is well overrated. Knowing your tastes I think 'Low' could be the one. Stark and a bit of genius thrown in here and there. Wzarszawa is my favourite track with its made-up language and just perfect for 1977 Cold War Eastern Europe atmosphere.

I got slated on here for saying Bowies stuff didn't float my boat.

Bing Crosby and Bowie sing little drummer boy. What a pile of steaming hot corny dog turd

Muse are a great live act but absolutely poor recorded.

That said, I watched them on the TV recently at a festival of some kind and they were so boring my wallpaper walked out.

I like Meatloaf, he isn't even trying to be good and I like that.

Its like B-movies for Music, its terrible in every way possible but good. Later stuff is a bit 'dry' but you can't fault 'Dead Ringer for Love' and 'Paradise by the Dashboard Light'.

Muse sounds like it someone ran a 2.0 update on Prog Rock. Any minute you expect elves and dragons to take over and someone to play a 20 minute bell solo on a synthesiser.

I don't care for Muse but wouldn't say they were s***. The Clash and The Ramones are liked because people think they're good to name drop.
I won't allow my wife to play The Killers in my earshot. They seem to be very popular, but not with me. It's music that makes my skin crawl. Although friends whose judgement I usually trust have urged me to reconsider.
I have to admit that there was a time when I felt this way about Radiohead but then one day I woke up and adored them (Just before the release of Kid A) and have done ever since.
