Yeah we need to get a grip.

Worst record in all 4 divisions for 2016.
Results carrying over into this season.
Poor preparation when coming back from summer/ international breaks.
Poor defensive prep and little care for clean sheets.
Sacking Garner. Bringing in zero experienced coaches then sacking 1.
Selling characters and not acknowledging they were and replacing them.
Going into the season with 1 left footed full back 6 defenders & Fryers.
Ruining Kelly for months when Ward can play LB.
Always being in danger of 4-6 or 10 losses in a row. Very dangerous risk.

Listening to players and addressing some of the above when he knows his neck is on the line and handing defensive drills over to them after apparently having it all sorted 7 days ago only to concede 4 goals. Yep, no loss of dressing room there. Are they playing for him and his job or because they cannot throw any more points away when the top teams are about to keep 70% possession?

Several things seriously wrong developing over 12 months and more and apparently it's fine, he's doing superb and we can rest because we beat poor on the day Stoke, Mboro, Sunderland, Southampton.

It's going to be a tough season. Let's hope Benteke is available all season or we get someone in better than Sanogoal or Adebayor or we are in trouble. Anyone not seen our run in? Being 3 points clear that means sh1t with the next month of zero points around the corner.

What's makes you think Stoke, Mboro, Sunderland and Southampton were poor on the day we beat them? Just because we beat them?

Your constant negative points are amusing. You need to get used to the fact that Pardew is here to stay for the foreseeable future, like it or not.

Should he not get critism for just that. Concentrating on the champions league, which they'll get knocked out of once they play one of the big boys, and not winning your league games is a very dangerous strategy.

No the players subconciously under perform prior to the CL games.
Yes its all about staying in the Premier.
Winning the League Cup/FA Cup takes 2nd and 3rd spot.

There creating Leicester History. They have never been in the Last 16 of the major European Competition.

Same as Palace trying to stay in the Big League for a fifth Season we have never done it.

Many moaners on here do not realise that.

They expect Top 6.

Realistically anything near tenth for Palace is excellent.Steady progress each season.

Put the FA Cup Wins into the stats and APs record is OK.

Tenth would be great but we will be very lucky to achieve that because unless something very odd happens in the run in (just look at it) we will need to get around 30 points from the next 15 games!
Unlikely to say the least.
I am way more worried about relegation than the top 6!

The fans who go to the games seem behind Pardew (give or take thirty at Swansea) those who live on here are the most vocal. Says it all really.

Which I asserted on here and was then the target for vitriol.

I have serious concerns about Pardew and felt it was the last straw last week. However, that some people wanted us to lose on Saturday is utterly bizarre. What type of fans are these?

I 100% want to be eating humble pie in a few months time. I 100% want pardew to get through this and be our manager for years to come. I have my doubts but whilst he's in charge and the players are still clearly playing for him, come kick off the team have my full backing. This is what we all should be doing.

I tend to agree with you Laddo. I would never want Palace to lose, although i'm a realist and would sometimes predict a defeat, but that's different.

However, I go to most home games (not so much away, family commitments) and I think that's the difference, some supporters are just armchair fans and I think with that comes a certain amount of detachment. That's the only way I could express that.

Even in the Peter Taylor and Trevor Francis era I still wanted Palace to win on the day!! And that's saying something!!

... what

I disagree with that, I think we have all backed him and given him every chance. Quite a lot lost their patience after the Swansea game. Just because we are not singing for his head on mass doesnt mean that he is being supported. The atmosphere against Southampton was very muted, South London's Red and Blue Army was sang so quite the opposite to what your saying. The players turned on Pardew last week and it was needed. Hopefully he has learnt from that and they can pull it round together. I personally dont have any confidence in AP and i rarely miss a game.

There's me thinking this was a fans forum. So people who don't go to games are the most vocal. Well, I had a season ticket for years up to and including the cup final, can't afford a season ticket now on a pension. I was one of the vocal one's at games who didn't want Pardew then or even before then, last Christmas in fact.I certainly don't want him now he blows hot and cold and always has. Saying you are more vocal on here because you don't go to games..............

Oh really? The team wins one game in two months and all of a sudden everything is rosy again? Well, we shall see won't we?

Do you have any evidence of that statement? Or is it just taking a comment about him listening to people, and elaborating it for effect?
