Having looked slow and cumbersome all season we're suddenly starting to look like a fast, counter-attacking team again. Schlupp and Zaha are very quick and with PVA getting stuck in we will suddenly go from looking weak down the left to very strong. Every team we've played in the last six months has looked at the left-hand side of our team and gone 'Oh, let's just rip them a new one there'. Even Swansea and Hull managed to do it.

£10 million+ is probably too much for a left back, but it's not too much for getting the balance in the team again.

These days 10 mill is nothing for a PL player, at least we are off the mark this window

£14m is ridiculous but if thats what it takes!

£10m also being quoted. I think some including Sunderland will count every conceivable add-on because they want to justify the sale when he is one of only two decent outfield players they have.

Ultimately you always overpay in January - particularly when you are known to be desperate. £70m less than Pogba sounds about right

if he can help save us then money well spent, as it is insignificant in what we lose in income if we are relegated!

You clearly haven't seen the lad play much have you?

After a few weeks you will be tearing your hair out and asking for a refund.

Very good going forward as an overlapping fullback and always chips in with a few goals and assists, but defensively he is absolutely shocking. Constantly out of position, caught ball watching all the time and often seen jogging back into position after needlessly giving away possession in a bad position.

If you have watched a lot of us this season (It's painful, believe me haha) you will realise that he alone has been responsible for at least half of the goals we have conceded this season.

You know what,as far as I'm concerned every new player starts at a new club with a clean sheet - past reputations (good or bad) mean sweet FA - think Bolasie, Delaney & equally Townsend.....

First half of last season and before I would have agreed with every word. However, there has been a marked improvement in PVA's defensive awareness started under Allardyce and carried on by Moyes.

No matter though as the proof of the pudding will be in the eating!
