Those wanting ever cheaper tickets don't realise that we can't increase the wage bill significantly without increasing the non-TV income.

I disagree, at £25 an adult tkt that's roughly a 40% discount on the equivalent league fixture. In addition, tickets for under 18 are only £5. A great opportunity for youngsters - the next generation of attendees of games - to experience an actual match between two Premier League teams play.

Seems there's also a growing trend to blame Parish for everything right now and I'm sure he's thick-skinned enough not to give a f***, especially as in nearly every aspect of running the club he knows more than those who do, based on virtue he's on the inside.

But it might go some way to explain why owning an English football club is only an attractive proposition to those who live far enough away for a lot of the vitriol not to reach them.

When I were a lad, there were FA cup tickets in with your season ticket. I totally understand, while we are as bad as we currently are, why people would not fancy turning out and paying an additional wedge, with very little optimism or hope for anything other than further depression.

I still don't understand why FA cup games (at least rounds 3 and 4) are not included with a season ticket.

i think £20 would have been a better price BUT £25 is not unreasonable AND any prices have to be agreed with the away team. So maybe City weren't keen on a lower price.

I remember some years back we had to go to the FA to reach a compromise when we played Lincoln as they wanted us to charge more. So whilst Southamption was great last year WE agreed that price too - well done SP.

Cup matches on season tickets is a nightmare from a revenue perspective as away team gets 45% (FA get 10%) so very few teams operate this approach.

Its almost as if transfers for money are related to revenue available to the club.....

I would have preferred to pay less but have bought my ticket, suggesting that the club probably got the pricing about right.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

OP being called out for a ridiculous post.

Being proud of a boycott which I was not even aware of it!

As has been said many times, £25 in comparison to other events is actually a bargain!

I like value for money. £20.00 for Bolton gave two goals, from open play. Please can £25.00 against Manchester City give two goals from open play and one from penalty or free kick?

Nobody boycotted Bolton. 7k people on a cold Tuesday night against a League one team is exactly where the attendance would normally be.

In fact its exactly the attendance we got against Blackpool on a warm summer evening!

Boycott my behind!

£5 for under 18's is very good but do they have to be a member to get a ticket? Would scupper any plan in trying to get local teenagers who are Palace into Selhurst for a rare visit if they do.

I think they do.
It's the price for an under 18 member.
There not drumming up support.
