I agree with all the positive comments but what we really need is our luck turning! Is it just me or do we seem to get the sh*tty end of the stick all the time - bad refereeing decisions (Roho), two wonder goals against in last couple of games, etc - I could go on and on.

First match 5th October 1974 - not a good day!

Let's be honest here Pardew was probably in the only club in the EFL with a board who would back him over 2016.

Ok...but for Big Sam?

Lost their nerve.

Over the course of the season luck evens out.

Pardew had to go really for his record & most wanted him gone in hindsight though I think we would at this stage of the season now been better off than with BFS. It's be careful for what you wish for saying.

I honestly think that the attacking style would have seen us a couple of places above the drop.

If you are scoring goals then you are going to win the odd game. I just don't see the direct/long ball style working with this pool of players.

We desperately need Zaha back and for him to stay fit.....Without him as the attacking outlet we are going down for certain in my book.

Well, let's hope Cote D'Ivoire do not progress, as I do agree with you. I wonder whether Allerdyce would play Zaha on the right of a 5-3-2? Or instead of Puncheon in the lineup today? Or revert to a 4-4-1-1?

I've seen plenty of games Palace were lucky in. We have had more against us for sure...but playing without confidence tends to punish you. Still, we have had our luck earlier in the season as well....we just take that for granted.

Club's fortunes are based upon the football season, not a selective one. Pardew was also responsible for the very good start to that season....So are you going to praise him for that?

Pardew kept us in the Premiership and played attacking football that kept people coming and believing.

Big Sam is a backward step for this club....We now play like...what reminds me of a FA cup match where a championship side try to play direct against premiership clubs hoping to nick a goal in a one nil.

This is very much a backward step.

Not saying I agree with it but this is how we've always played in recent history. Probably due to the managers and the quality of the players (their skills) we've had. I would love to see us keep possession more, move it around all over the pitch, who wouldn't, but you are ultimately the product of your tactics and philosophy on how you play the game, the bottom 3 says it all for us. The lack of quality we display currently all over the pitch is staggering! SA has an immense job to keep us up this season. If by some miracle he succeeds, then expect a massive clean out next season. To some extent this club lacks "spine" both on and off the field (i.e. management and administration).

Just getting home from the game. Gotta say I felt like Jeff is a good player. I also liked the 3 centre halves strategy. Not so sure about the rest. Would have played... flamini

Playing without confidence doesn't explain awful refereeing decisions and wonder goals scored against us...can't remember too much good luck, otherwise we wouldn't be in thd s**t we are now...

Must admit when he took cabaye off I thought he'd bring flamini on and not ledley. ...

Please don't say that word. Still makes me nervous
