Only one is a fact, supposedly. Leaving deals to the last minute to save on wages is an assumption by you, it has never been proved. There are many elements to a transfer and if they don't become viable because of agents, clubs and players demand, then the buying club pulls out, simple.
Whether our current wage bill is sustainable is something, I am sure the board has considered, they don't seem to have done much wrong in the past.

Sorloth, Jach and the like are just not good enough signings at this level. Benteke has been a huge disappointment whose huge loss of form would have been hard to predict it's true but we had the Summer to find an alternative but decided to with some cheap options.

Maybe big Sam will be coming back through the door in January because as good as Roy is, when the team aren't good enough, predictably, many fans blame the manager and somehow manage to forget our transfer dealings.

They went to see Hamilton on the Wednesday & then they were apparently spotted together on Broadway in New York on the Friday. Reid was definitely there on Friday because she posted some pics on social media. If its true perhaps it was just a short trip dirty weekend thing because she is back on TV tomorrow.
