Yes, but you more or less treated Jo Cox's killing as the advent of the Fourth Reich while dismissing Islamic terrorism as practically non-existent.

No, that's how you interpreted it.

There is no other way to interpret it, unless double-think is employed.

No, they're people who are inevitably violent because of their issues, and drawn to violent causes. People like this tend to find reasons to kill and indulge their violence (whether rational or absurd), because their psychosis is feed by cues from the world around them.

He had two prior convictions for slashing people with knives prior to conversion to Islam, doing time for both.

But yes, Islamic fundamentalism is still a major problem. All forms of fundamentalism represent a danger to society, its just the most prevalent one at present.

So you are suggesting that the multitude of attacks by single and groups of Muslims across the world would have happened anyway without Islamic extremism?
That is not reasonable and more to the point, the mental state of individuals is something we cannot control. What we can control is the source of their inspiration and the numbers likely to be affected in Britain.
There is no point in indulging in areas that have no practical value.Telling people that IS are bad doesn't cut it. The chances of irradiating all forms of Islamic fundamentalism are slim. We have to do what can be done, not deliberate about what cannot.

Linking a murder to the far right (which was roundly dismissed on here by many)does not make prophecies of the Fourth Reich. Ive told you a million times about exaggerating.

Problem is, a lot of those people arriving are also fleeing religious zealotry. I'd imagine that few of the refugees from Syria are actually supporters of IS or hardline Sunni's.

Yes, I think we should be very through in determining who we accept into the UK before you ask, but we shouldn't just 'haul up the drawbridge' and hope the refugee crisis resolves itself - that will create new problems - and create further instability.

Odd as it seems, the largest number of Syrian refugees taken in by the UK, was 5000, following the outbreak of civil war, which literally was anyone currently working in the UK from Syria (including Embassy staff).

There will always be a refugee crisis. They will just get bigger in the future. The answer cannot be to keep accepting them, that will just not be sustainable.

Suffering in the world is tragic and hard to watch but their suffering will become ours sooner than you think as world population grows.

Careful Nick. Don't excite yourself too much.

People understandably struggle to tell when you are joking and when you are serious.

Well William the Conquer did OK as did the Danes and don't forget the Dutch or the Romans. They all kicked our arse. We had to pay the Dutch to go away and the Romans, Danes and Normans changed our culture forever with quite small numbers. A smaller proportion than have come here in the last decade I would imagine.

Your post is a bit selective.

I have no idea what tangent you've gone off on here. I'm talking about some, notably this one.

What I'm saying is here you have a guy who had previously been sent to prison for twice slashing people with knives, in a short period of time, before becoming a 'Muslim'. Who also had a history with the NF and football hooliganism. His wife left him for being violent and controlling.

Sooner or later people like this either end up killing someone, killing themselves, trying to kill someone and going to prison or in psychiatric care.

That's what I'm saying, people like this, are a threat regardless of their beliefs.

And yes, Islamist Terrorism like IS appeals to these people, how can it not. It glorifies violence and is basically graphic violence p*** to people like this, as well as giving them a reason.

But given he'd stabbed at least two people and had a history of committing violent assault and domestic violence (and during this stage he was a 'Christian') I'd say, that he was always going to be a problem for society.
