I agree Dolphin. It heaps pressure on the clubs below us as well, so it was worth a lot more than the three points alone. That extra pressure on Hull and Swansea could cost them three points during their run in, so indirectly it could equate to more.

I think this will happen now. Sometimes the Football God's smile on those who deserve it and I have a lot of admiration for the Hull players and Management (not the board though).

They are similar to Palace a few years ago without the funds to entice good players to help their cause in January (like we did) but they got a Manager who knows what he's doing and instilled passion and fight in them.

I was thinking we'll definitely relegate them and make us safe but now I think we'll be safe before that game and they'll beat us to relegate Swansea.

*Disclosure. This doesn't mean I'd rather this scenario than Palace winning the next 6 games and finishing 10th. But realistically if we are going to take our foot off the gas, I'd prefer it to be to someone like Hull, rather than United or Liverpool.

Yes, Spurs top with 18 from 6. We are in the second group with 15 from 6. Swansea are in freefall with 4 from 6.
Will be ironic if Swansea go down after doing the double over us - plus Sunderland beating us 4-0, which was the last match they won.

Perhaps I should add that of the teams we still have to play, Spurs are top of the form league, Leicester are second, Liverpool are at five and Moan Utd at six. Worst of the seven still to play are Burnley at 15.

The right place at the right time

Pre Chelsea I had us finishing on 37 points with wins against Leicester, Burnley and Hull. Six bonus points says we'll now finish on 43? I doubt it will be as simple as that; this is Palace after all!

Just play every game like we need to win to stay up and I'm sure we'll be fine.

We should certainly target all these remaining games as potentially winnable. No one will relish playing us at the moment given our momentum.

If we can beat Leicester on Saturday in the same fashion as the Arsenal win there is no reason why we cannot give the bin dippers something major to worry about!

Leicester have been rejuvenated and whilst they lost at Everton they have the ability to really 'hurt' us. This will be one helluva game and could well be one in the category of 'After the Lord Mayor's show'. We lose this and Swansea win at Watford and the picture changes.
