This .. every point is vital, until we are mathematically safe

One of Ranieri's comments on Sky was: 'if you think you're safe, you're not safe'. Sam is experienced enough to know this as much as anyone, I'm sure he won't allow any complacency to sneak in.

Who 'Rattled your cage'?

I believe I made a realistic assessment of the situation. As I have said before the 'Picture' can change on a match-by-match basis.

I totally agree with you. Can change on match-by-match basis.

It will be a close game I think with Leicester but an entertaining one. Both teams are scoring but have potential defensive vulnerabilities. We do though have a Sakho, which they don't. Could be a 4-3 but then again will probably turn into a 0-0 having said that.

I hope they get a good result tonight so they will leave players out with the 2nd leg in mind

We're not safe until we're safe (38-40 points) and thankfully Sir Sam is sending that message loud and clear and the players in their interviews are parroting the same (as opposed to Samba dancing and blagging about Europe next year before things are over). I will be watching Leicester's match with Athletico with interest, hoping for injuries and tiredness. The Leicester match will be a great chance to add another 3 points (but we all know Palace when you start saying things like that!). The way I see it is how I believe Sir Sam sees it: we aim for 40 points ASAP. I think we should do it. It's not over until the fat lady sings - but she's now dressed, made up, and gargling.

Steve Parish will no doubt be reminding Sam that the higher up the table we finish the higher our income will be and therefore the more money available for new players

Yep, difficult one to call for us. I'm thinking that it would be good that they have a hard, tiring game and our still in with a chance in the 2nd leg, taking their eyes off our game. However if they take a pasting they might be demoralised for our game or more up for it. We will just have to wait and see and be ready on Saturday. Like most teams they won't be wanting to play us at the mo. COYP !!

If 0-2 (1-3 better with an away goal) down in Spain they can be hoping for a place in the semi-final - and play a weakened side at Selhurst. Think Big Sam will keep the players grounded till at least we're on 40 points...
