Just that the jury be bound, in such cases, to accept that consent was not given. Why the f**k would any taxi driver think its reasonable to have sex with a customer. You can say no. And lets face it, you probably should say no to f**king random drunk strangers. They're sober, they capable of making a decision. And lets face it, we know that in most of these cases of drunken consent, its just a defence for a guilty party. Its not just the responsibility of women to protect themselves from predatory men, its the respononsiblity of other men as well.

I have no doubt many a girl has been raped this way. But it's a case of knowing whether consent was knowingly given or not. I don't believe that being drunk doesn't mean you can't give consent to someone sober..Being unconscious does or out of it...obviously...It's very important that this doesn't become a binary rule and instead comes down to common sense...Do we really want a 'Opp she's had a drink, we can't trust her judgement'...maybe..maybe not..Do we do the same for blokes?....I've seen predatory drunk women in nightclubs...it happens. It isn't always one way. I think we all know that there is a certain type of arsehole who will try to take advantage...that's also rape...perhaps non violent rape by arsehole but still rape. It comes down to proving ability to consent. I just think it needs to be tried on a case by case basis with no set rules.
