I'm confused about this because one minute it's reported we have agreed personal terms and are going to put in a bid then the next minute it's being reported that we are refusing to meet his wage/fee demands , so how does that work if we've already agreed terms then ? I smell a rat I.e I don't think our frank rates or fancies him tbh

Well Dom Fifield has said it's a no go for us at £30m, I can't see anyone else paying that for him. Either Klopp makes peace with him or either us or Liverpool blinks first regarding the transfer fee. You'd imagine they'd be willing to accept £5m less, it's if we can stretch to about £25m. I'm sure if he was £20m we'd have bid for him by now, it's just if we're willing to stretch that little bit further.

We've let a fair amount of wages go and I suspect another couple on big wages will go before the windows out. That makes me think wage wise we can afford him.

I can't see any other club stumping up £30m for him so likelyhood is we're the best offer and the club he wants to join.
