Agreed. The worst thing we can do against any team is regard them as fodder. Only one way to prove us wrong, right?

Absolutely. Remember when we got all billy big b*lllocks playing Luton first game of season and promptly got beaten. Huddersfield will be up for the opener make no mistake.

Or more recently when we beat Chelsea and Liverpool away then assumed that Burnley at Selhurst would be a walk in the park.

Any team that managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory against Swansea are more likely to be considered fodder themselves

Or the famous Big Mal widen the pitch to accommodate our wingers experiment against Notts County, the first game after we had been relegated from Division one. Lost 1-4.
Only tried it once , but we got relegated straight to Division 3 that season.

I wouldnt say 16 games is regular starter, but I would like another Lcb aswell, whether their experienced or not because I don't hold hope in Delaney and one injury to Riedewald, then Delaney in the line up.

I'd say 10 Europa league games each season is regular.

How many of our players have that experience?

Hmm. Sorry to have started the off topic chatter. I think my point was that we need to give ourselves the best chance of staying up. That means giving ourselves the best chance of beating the bottom half (I called them fodder, sorry about that!). We are playing those guys at the start of the season, so we need our business sorted early enough to make a difference.

Whether we win against Huddersfield, or not, is not the point. It is whether we are going to give ourselves the best odds we can, all things considered.

That means signing this bloke, if we are going to, soonish.

According to report online eyefootball.com

"Ajax defender Jairo Riedewald has also agreed to join Crystal Palace, but the move is being delayed due to third-party issues"

If we only moved for 2 cbs I prefer chambers and martins indi. I'm not denying that Riedewald has potential and could be a real find. There's a lot reports I've seen about him not being strong enough in Ariel duals.

Just as a matter of interest, how many years do we need to be in the premiership before we're established. Just interested in people's thoughts....

Good Q?......

Not too sure of the answer tho, for me, it's when we've finished somewhere between 8 & 12th for at least 6-7 seasons(ie Stoke/WBA), as opposed to fighting relegation for 3-4 seasons.

Everybody will have their own view
