Also you're pompous & condescending manner in which you speak about anyone who disagrees with your personal views is actually getting a little grating to put it mildly.
It's actually people like you who put people like Trump & soon to be Farage in power

Not sure you did this justice TBH.

Obama said it as it really is. He told the truth.

Woody Johnson, a Trump appointee speaking just before his boss arrives in this country, is backing him up. What a surprise! That's his job. If he said something different he would soon be toast wouldn't he?

It's just bs designed to convince the gullible that "no deal" is a good idea. Interfering in British politics in plain sight.

I have met quite a few Trump supporters from the USA, both personally and online. Although usually polite and pleasant face to face their political naivety never ceases to surprise me. I have been forced to conclude there must be something seriously wrong with the US education system for so many not to know as much as they don't know. Of course some have very little personal experience of life beyond their own circle and then there are those who believe Trump has been sent by God. However, I do see similar traits in the group of Trump sycophants who populate this and the Brexit thread. The Americans have excuses. Those in the UK don't.

The singular lack of self awareness is very typical of the Trump Deranged / privileged lefties / remainers, who don't feel the need to put forward a considered argument in favour of personal attacks or simply asserting their own superiority. Just does not cut it any more.

Despite the unwillingness of Democrats to accept the result of the 2016 election (exactly like Brexit) Trump has now been proven to be the democratically elected president of our biggest ally and deserves to be treated as such. Obviously he should be open to criticism like anyone else (I have my own) but to suggest we should not be hosting this visit I think is more about him being perceived as being boorish and not very cosmopolitan rather than much he's done. Snobbery basically, the same thing we see targeting the working classes here (or as you call them the "far right" ).

Plenty, pleeeeeenty of that sort in both countries.

Not sure when a narcissistic pathological liar billionaire and an ex city trader and failed MP became the champions of the common man.

Both are simply opportunistic xenophobic snake oil salesmen riding a nationalist wave.

I hope Farage does become PM and presides over a no deal crash out of the EU, as I am sure that would go so well that people wouldn’t start to regret that setup almost immediately.

And why, he said expecting a stupid answer, do you think there is a 'nationalist wave'?

Is that the same Johnson and Johnson that is facing a billion dollar lawsuit for turning Americans into opium junkies and has just lost a $300m lawsuit for causing cancer with their talcum powder

A simple question, yes or no.

Did Obama say we would be at the back of the cue For a trade deal. Yes or no?

Is trump looking to do a deal with Britain on his visit yes or no?

As you well know that is just a "when did you stop hitting your wife" question! Some things don't have simple answers.

So yes, Obama did say it, but for truthful and nuanced reasons.

And no Trump is not looking to do a deal on his visit! He is making an undeliverable promise which has no more validity than the snake oil salesman telling you that his product cures cancer. For Trump is a typical snake oil salesman. There are some who see through such people and some who are routinely fooled by them.

No-one should accept a vote which was compromised by Russian interference. However the Democrats are now 100% concentrated on Trump's failings and not on that, whereas Trump still routinely criticises Hilary etc.

Trump is so objectionable, and downright dangerous and doesn't observe any of the conventional diplomatic niceties that I fail to see why we should not respond in the same way. Only by doing so would we stand a chance of reversing this idiocy.

Flattering him is all he wants and we belittle ourselves by doing so. I am 100% with Khan and his comments. Well done by him for calling him out.

I did not mention the "far right" in my post. Trump isn't really far right because he isn't really anything but Trump, but he draws support from them and they manipulate him. Puppets don't make good leaders.

Has anybody noticed Trump is a Palace fan?! He is wearing a Palace tie (2nd picture down). No wonder he is so happy.

Whilst I don’t particularly agree with Wisbech’s posts on this topic, could you explain how he is any more biased than you?

Because people are not happy with their lot, for a variety of reasons, and it’s an outlet. It’s existence doesn’t make them right.

You’re far too clued up to really believe Trump and Farage are men of the people surely Hrolf?

It's depends on how you define it. One thing for sure is neither are 'career politicians' unlike the majority who have gone straight to government from education and will do what they can to stay there. Trump and Farage are not globalists and believe in the people of nation states which resonates.
