Just having a laugh Maine, remember I don't take these things as seriously as perhaps your good self does.

Sure I support Trump but if the Democrats win it's not going to ruin anything important to me.

I have my eyes on things that are far longer term than that....and frankly the 2020 election isn't that relevant.

I agree the 2020 US election should not be overtly important to a resident of the UK.

Some of you boys on here do go hell for leather to back the commander in cheat though, eh.

I do take it fairly seriously as like I said, certain things actually affect me personally like government shutdowns f*cking up my vacation plans with my buddies etc.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

I guess we will know if this is true at some point because if Obama does endorse anyone then it's obviously nonsense.

Obama endorsed the sh&t out of Hillary and look what happened there.

Endorsements are often for the birds.

Biden wants a fair fight in the primaries, but he knows he has a great chance. Once he is confirmed as Trump's rival, expect Barack to hit the campaign trail immediately.

Despite BLEXIT and a few MAGA rally photos the African American communities over here are not huge Trump fans, to put it mildly. Some exit polls suggested 89% of black people who voted, voted for Hillary last time around.

Biden will absolutely destroy Trump on black votes due to his links to Obama anyway, even without a single endorsement.

Its early days but I see Biden as by far the most likely candidate to topple Trump, given his moderate positions and working class creds.

Remember, Hillary won the popular vote for Christ sake, and her campaign was a raging dumpster fire after Comey came out publicly on the emails etc. It gave Trump all he needed and Russian interference got him over the line.

Biden will fair significantly better than Hillary, and some of those close States like PA will not be close anymore as they swing back to blue I would wager.

He is the perfect storm for Trump. Moderate democrat, former VP to the first black president, life full of service and respect inducing tragedy, blue collar roots, and more presidential gravitas in his little finger than the commander in cheat.

He wont shy away from the gutter sniping which Trump used against the likes of Bush and Rubio but he can also show decorum and gravitas which Trump doesnt understand how to or care about showing.

All in all I say bring it on, although by November next year I will be getting sick and tired of it all just like everyone else here.

Biden is framing this as a high stakes war for the soul of America and that is an argument that it is easy to make with a Trump administration running amok currently.

So if someone on here posted foam flecked invective about the Central Line making them late for work how seriously would you take it? As Stirling pointed out the main thing Trump provides this country is amusement. As long as he doesn’t involve us in a war or collapse the world economy then what he does is no more important than what happens in Peru or Portugal.

Biden has basically been accused of being overly touchy feely. Not exactly grab em by the pussy territory.

Biden’s record is not spotless but when you compare something to a steaming pile of dog turd, usually it looks pretty good.

Reputation wise Biden beats Trump about 24-0 in footy parlance.

But not in matters that Americans seem to care much about. Trump is one of very few people who are somehow immune from criticism. He’s like Charlie Sheen whose career continued regardless of decades of bad publicity.

He is not immune. He was dominated in the mid terms and his approval rating is the lowest average of any president since approval ratings were measured.

Foam flecked invective. Like it.

Wasnt that a ska band from the late 70s?

If someone posted about a tube line making them late for work, and I was participating in a thread about delays on the tube, I expect I would assign their comment the utmost import.

So he’ll get annihilated in the election and America will be back to the wonderland it was. But...what are you going to do if he wins again?

Corbyn has turned down a state dinner with Trump when he visits because he is racist, sexist, climate change denier etc.

What a pathetic little man Corbyn is. He is quite happy to have tea with terrorists but can't attend a dinner where he wouldn't be sitting anywhere near the president anyway.

He argues that he has held meetings with Irish and middle east terrorist because it is important to hold dialogue and to reach out to them. If you believe that then you go to the dinner and you tell Trump what you think of him.

Respect the office not the man.

One day Corbyn may be PM and Trump may still be President he wont forget that petty snub.

Be the bigger man Jeremy.
