where to post my thoughts. Our heritage starts in 1905; we are now in 2017 and playing in the Television League. The funding for that league is people paying for extra (over the base BBC and ITV channels and people expect to be entertained (have their interest held) to support their paying extra to watch sports. The result is that we have more commentators than needed and almost any problem can become a good story if there is no other news. I expect that should Palace take 19 of the points available for their next seven PL matches there will be stories concerning what went wrong in the drawn match, when will the satisfying (for us) unbeaten run end, will the top six seek to buy most of our team in January. Youth (Wales goal scored by seventeen year old) has its part (with Frank's help) in this and next season COYP.

Most of us guessed this already. I bet these journalists don't know anything new that we don't.

No obviously not.

Don't doubt Parish as a Palace fan but a man of football I have my doubts.

I feel a bit sorry for Frank, barring a miracle which I would love he will be gone soon and I do not consider myself a football genius but I could have forecast this happening, in fact I did. I'm more than happy to consider a job offer if it comes along, but with all the money in football you'd hope someone with some idea might be employed in some capacity for these sort of decisions!

Ridiculous state of affairs, i'd love to slate the media too but it seems this is a lot of weight behind this story!

It would be nice to see HOL closed to all new threads with the exception of "Team for Burnley" as everyone else is just going round in circles, starting new threads to say exactly the same thing.

No-one in the media knows anything and neither does anyone here so everything is just guesswork, often passed off as fact

I reckon a draw will keep him in his seat and then if we get anything less in the 5th game... he's gone

That's if both parties agree to stretch matters out as far as next game against Burnley FC:

Sounds like he might not even make it to the Burnley game. Personally I hope he turns things around however as I've said elsewhere, if he's lost the changing room, is pissing people off left right and center and isn't going to adapt then it'd be foolish to keep him on.

If the later was the case I'd rather we bust the bank and try to get Benitez from Newcastle than go down the safe dull option of Hodgson.

Slim chance we'd get him but what a hugely respected guy if we did.

It's also not only destabilise Newcastle and likely put them very much in the box seat for the second relagation spot alongside Brighton but also damage spams hope of sorting out there own plight.

But apart from all that we'd secure what no one could argue is an extremely capable manager.

If FdB can't turn it around Benitez is the best option - tactically astute, plays pragmatic football and is young enough to hang around for a while. I do wonder if we're a "big" enough club for him to wanna come though. Notable he's been linked with taxpayer fc
