Well, you responded and put the time in for which you earn a nod from me.

I do think their mission statement is reasonable yes....I would stand behind those aims.

Are the people reasonable? I don't know...I try not to judge on face value....I know that people like your good self like to call them fascists and 'cunds' and suggest all kinds of nasty stuff.....but then again you have a pop at Newaz.

So I hope you won't be too offended if I don't take your opinions on face value either.

As for how you responded to the mission statement.....I think you should be more objective. I can't see anything valid in what you criticised....doing backstory opinion pieces isn't a criticism of a mission statement.

I could have done that with Corbyn....But I prefer to criticise the policies....the only issue I give Corbyn personal angst over is the IRA one.

Having so many aims that are the actual opposite of what they do rings alarm bells for me.

Can you explain what you think sharia law is.

Back to the thread topic. Seems Le Carre wasn't far wrong reading this thread.

It is ludicrous to stir up some brown shirt scare when the real fascists in this country are bombing children at concerts, running people down in the streets, stabbing police and civilians. They are the real growing danger that needs addressing, not a few neo-nazi nut jobs.

Since 2013 42 people have died in England as a result of terrorism. 39 by Islamic extremist attacks and 3 by white racist attack.

In just 3 days between September 9-11 2017 37 Iraqi civilians died. This is not extra-ordinary. Day after day people are still dying in Iraq in those numbers. That is not even taking into account Muslims dying in Libya, Syria or Yemen - or civilians drowning trying to flee the mess we've made.

Far more Muslim people are still being killed as a result of our reckless wars; long after the conflicts are said to be over. Islamic Terrorism is not "the growing problem" that our love of war and weapons has been and still is.

I agree with the aims. As for actions from the main group being different to that.....well, if that's true it isn't good.....But I'll go with those aims.

Well, sharia just means Islamic law so there is never a need to add the word law to it.

There isn't one sharia as different groups within Islam live under different versions. It's their Islamic law interpreted from their religious writings.

Why do you ask?

All human life matters. At birth we are all in a sense equal in worth. But the circumstances we are born into are not.

Reality is that some life matters more to people than other human life.

What is your view on abortion for example?

People define things differently in terms of how closely related they feel to it.

A middle eastern life has importance, but a British life is much more important to me......This will also be true for most middle eastern people and is a fact of human nature.

If these things matter that much to you while do you live here. Why aren't you doing humanitarian work in one of these disadvantaged places that you rightly feel sympathy for?

If you are going to moralise against other people then do so from the principles you push.

Flogging seem to play a large part in it, for having a drink, having sex, adultery - or is that the death penalty, hard to keep up, I'm pretty sure being gay is the death penalty though.
