Pretty significant day today with Corbyn and McDonnell coming out against single market membership. Our membership necessitates staying within Maastricht rules, which essentially means continuing austerity whilst our public debt is as high as it is. For this reason I think it's great, and very brave of them, to take a stand against it. Tony Benn, the ideologue, you could say, for Corbyn and McDonnell, always said you should ask of power 5 things. What power have you got? Where did you get it from? Who do you represent? To whom are you accountable? And how can we get rid of you? Ask those questions of top officials in the EU and you get the reason why he and Corbyn are against it. Ask it of our current government, and I imagine you would also get an answer which would turn your stomach...

I don't think they do and I certainly don't think that anything Corbyn or McDonnell have done on Brexit is brave or ideologically led. They have and continue to stumble through the process. Keep fooling yourself that your position is correct but apply nous and you come to the conclusion that Labpur is as split as the Tories are on Brexit.

Those two have always been anti-EU which is good, but he wouldn't answer the freedom of movement question as of course he would allow it for ideological reasons regardless of whether it is good or bad for the country. He would probably hang on to all the EU rules and regulations that stifles business, such red tape and general b**l**ks* so beloved by socialists.
