Would the Guardian readers and PC czars get into a similar lather if a black chap coloured his skin white to resemble Theresa May ?

Alexandra Burke not winning strictly has attracted similar racial attention but her lack of votes will have a lot to do with an anti fur ad campaign she modelled in and then was photographed on the street in real fur and the fact she's had professional dance training from Craig Revell Howord when appearing in a west end show he choreographed.

As I recall, the descent down the slippery slope started when Robertsons were "persuaded" to remove their "Gollys" from their jam jars thus depriving children of the simple, unpolitical, innocent pleasure of collecting them as had been done for generations before. All that did was the opposite to what was intended, which was to bring race differences to the attention of innocent minds. But, of course, if life seems unfair to you, and who proved life was fair anyway, and only if you have a dark skin,then it is all down to racism. Right? A simple answer for a complex problem that we do not wish to confront head on.

I think they are labelled "Golly dolls".

Quite ironic the independent have run an article on this story and basically said in it that anyone who goes to the darts is a drunkard or a harlot whilst moralizing about someone with a blackened face. Couldn't make it up
