Hve to give credit to any Palace fan still supporting Christian Benteke. It shows how special we are. Me? Have lost faith in the big man long time ago, but still is a true red & blue. I mean, those two sitters vs Liverpool - he didn't even hit the target!! Blame lack of service eh.......

On MOTD the panel mentioned Tekkers has had 22 gilt edged chances and scored from 2 of them this season thus far. These weren’t half chances where he had to be creative, these were clear cut. I am astonished that some folks keep saying “ he hasn’t had the service” Could you imagine if Jamie Vardy had those kind of chances I bet he would have put 15 of those away, no problem. He has become a complete liability, I am so pissed off that we have no other options...

Missed chances aside, I thought Benteke had a good game. Held the ball up well and won his fair share of headers, including an assist for the penalty. The chances weren’t sitters but both attempts were weak and to miss the target on both cases is poor. His confidence is clearly destroyed and I felt for him. He should be doing a lot better I’d still pick him next week on the grounds that we don’t have anyone else fit at the moment.

I sensed when he missed the first one the anguish on his face said it all and I did feel for him... but then my mind immediately focused on the fact that he is on 100k a week and my sympathy evaporated. When he then missed a second one literally a minute later, I lost it...

Second chance the pass was slightly behind him and difficult but still needed to work the keeper. The miss a couple of minutes before would have been weighing heavily. Didn’t look like a man not trying to me.
