Ridiculous comment. It was hit at 100 mph from six yards and took a deflection.

I don't think the deflection made a huge difference to be honest. I think Wayne will be disappointed though as his reactions weren't that quick, don't think he moved that well for the second one either.

That said (and I've certainly been one of his critics in the past) he's done well in our most recent league games.

We've lost 2 in 13 kept four clean sheets in that time and only let in 9 whilst scoring 14.

Both goalies have played their part in that!

The deflection didn’t change the direction of the ball enough to make that much of difference. That area of the goal was covered by his body and it went straight through him.

It'll be great if ee sign another keeper because then maybe you and your ilk will stop banging on about Hennessey. All you're achieving with it is to give weed something to laugh at. It's pointless, it's pathetic and it's boring.

Worse than that, straight through him at the near post.

I am sorry but stop defending the undefendable Hennessey has sometimes given us some great games but he is clearly not good engouh for premier league and has cost way too much points. I will still thank him for defending our coulours but I don't feel he gave all he could at every game like Speroni (even though he has gone behind Hennessey because of his age) does...

It should be remembered that although Speroni is 'giving his all' since he returned he has cost us more points through questionable goals than Wayne.

Ah, the classic 'gives it his all' 'wants it more' 'loves the club' style of argument which has no real way of proving or disproving it.

We probably need a new goalkeeper, but I don't really see how Speroni's affiliation with the club matters when we're talking about making instinctive reaction saves, or trying to calmly play the ball out from the back.

Both of them have had good and bad games in the last couple of months alone which indicates we need a new number one, but if your argument against Wayne is that he doesn't 'want it' then it's pretty flimsy.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

I think the first goal is slightly unfair on Wayne. It was pretty much point blank. More upset with the defending to be honest. Yes we need a better goal keeper. I have no idea if this fella is the answer.
