And not getting a third goalkeeper in could help contribute towards relegation, which seems to add to the stupidity of it all. The January transfer window seems to have been not over committing in case we end up in the Championship. Injuries haven't helped but we have had plenty of them since Pardew's time here, so it shouldn't be a surprise. The lack of 2-3 players that would be ready for the first team squad straight away could well be the worst decision Parish has made in his time here.

Just been reading an article on BBC sport about the best eleven out of contract in the summer. Vicente Via its is on the list, and it says although he has reportedly signed a pre-agreement with Palace, Atletico Madrid have now shown interest. I wonder if this prompted Hennessey getting a new contract.

With the teams that are sniffing around for him it must show that this guy could be the real deal, if the precontract holds up and he doesn't become another Mandanda case then this could be a great bit of first come first served business.

He's a good goalkeeper. The problem is he's never played in England. I think he'll be ok the first season and great the second on.

Hmm - although cashing in 15m euros would be great and all, we need a bloody keeper. Only Palace can get themselves in to these bizarre situations... We'll spend weeks faffing about with them over this, probably take £8m or something as he clearly doesn't want to be here (Mandanda anyone?!) and we'll end up paying £20m for Lazio's reserve keeper or some nonsense.

Why would he not want to come here and what gives you that idea? He's signed a contract with us so in my mind he must want to come.
