The way that the story is worded you can tell that the author doesn't really believe it but feels that he must write something

Given our striker shortages that would actually make a lot of sense to me given that nobody knows whether Loftus Cheek will be back soon or whether he will need an operation

Can't see it myself though. Would we guarantee him starts? Doubt it.
