Wasn’t disappointed to see Gayle go despite the odd important goal but Murray’s being bombed straight after he’d done so much to keep us up in 2015 was a joke.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing !
Go back a couple of years and imagine a choice of Murray and Gayle or Benteke and Wickham - almost to a man we would have chosen the latter pair and we would’ve been wrong - it happens - get over it !

Opinion. I would have much preferred that Murray stayed. Proved now...
If lessons are to be learned, the board's transfer policy is a shambles.

Pardew wanted Speroni out asap just after then as well. Speroni still had a lot in him as a 1st or back up to actually come in and shake up Hennessy. Pardew preferred quiet people like Bumfluff and nobody like Jedinak gathering the troops in the dressing room. Was a sad time watching it unfold without much of a clue in charge.

I'm not going to reveal who it was but I had it on good authority from someone playing for the club at the time that Pardew and Jedinak hated eachother.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

The oher way around for me. Murray had an advanced age already, his feet weren't pcy anymore. Even though he had had a good season in terms of scoring, it was a logical choice to invest in a younger striker (that it was the wrong striker is another thing).

But Gayle...he was still young, just 25 I think. For a player of 21-24, he had done very well in Palace. He was one for the future

Gayle never looked quite good enough with us but he's doing well for Newcastle - sometimes a player just fits better with a certain club.

I think we all knew Murray had plenty left, but the way Pardew booted him out, ostracised Speroni and treated Jedinak like an absolute cvnt, when those 3 deserved so much more was the worst thing about his time as manager.

Managers can be good / bad, have good luck or bad luck and they come and go. But Pardew was just an egotistical horrible man. The worst thing was that all the Newcastle fans were right about him.

I hope he takes West Brom down, stays on and then gets sacked from the championship.

You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue
Yours sincerely
Mile Jedinak

I noticed all the nose touching during Pardew's MOTD interviews and wondered...

Another mistake by Pardew was letting Mariana go - he’s a regular at Watford now and playing well !!!
Super Al wasn’t so super was he?

add Bamford, Mariappa, Jerome and Alex McCarthy to the list of players who have begun to show their ability after they left us.

There must be a reason - lack of opportunity, the wrong formations, managerial impatience, lack of encouragement?

There is a problem somewhere and I am beginning to show sympathy for Benteke. While we wait for the return of Zaha it is time that Townsend stepped up to the plate and gave him some support

Very good, but I think he means Adrian Mariappa.
