Irony alert. John Cleese wrote that episode to take the P*ss out of British people with their odd views of the Germans it was never a slur on the German people. If the idiots watch the episode they will see that the German tourists are perfectly respectable it is Basil who is behaving like an idiot.

Mayor Khan tough on statues tough on the causes of statues. Someone just called him Genghis Khan a man who left great swathes of death and destruction in his path. The Mayoral elections can't come quick enough.

Boarding up of statues and the Cenotaph. I’m utterly dumbstruck that rather than deal with criminality we effectively cave into it. I’m sorry but all this tells me is that the Police are incapable of managing this situation and so rather than allowing the people of our country to do the protecting they have found it easier to board them up and hope that by hiding them it stops the conflict between those trying to protect our history and those trying to tear it down. What with this and the bullshiite censorship of tv programmes we are hurtling towards a nanny communist state. Who is going to stop this madness?

I expect Family Guy will be the next show to suffer. For those who have never seen it they have a go at everybody regardless of gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation or religion.
Comedy is a great way of putting a message across to people without being preachy. Blazing Saddles and the producers are really funny films and show just how ridiculous racists are do we ban them now?

You still think in terms of 'racists' and anti racists. This approach has led to self doubt the lack of action we have seen. Previous generations would not have allowed this. Hasn't this whole episode made it clear that this 'colour blind' politics moved on around ten years ago? This is about the political ascendancy of left Identitarianism, which is pro black and anti white. They are using this incident to full effect. They have majority control in all the main institutions, except the actual elected government....who are also pushing 'colour blind' politics.
