The jury accepted Stokes version, that he had not attacked members of the public, but had 'nurdled them down to third man'.

The judge did not direct the jury but sent a soft signal that he wanted the defendant to play in the third test next Saturday.

You can be quite amusing when you put your mind to it, can't you?

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I don't think the jury's result was fair. We should ask for a re-run I could n't vote because I am only 17 it's all the fault of those old cricket fans.

I think you're on a bit of a sticky wicket with that one......

So to sum it up, two men got punched so hard that they were knocked out, one had a broken eye socket. All the people involved were in court and all were innocent.

Kohli says Stokes was obviously guilty and should be banged up to rights.

Rooty will enforce the follow on and Kohli could well find himself a part of the Heathrow extension.

Don't mess with Stokesy, it's not cricket.

If Mrs Stokes offers you a piece of cake, make an excuse.

Nope. 3 of the 6 involved were in court, two were found not guilty and one had the case against him dismissed.

To sum it up, the CPS are idiots.

You are spot on, the CPS are idiots.

Twice in my life as a younger man I appeared in Crown Court avoiding bird each time.

The CPS basically employ all the guys who can't make it in private practice whilst I was paying my guys £400 an hour to run rings round them.

Sad but true, you buy justice.

It could be, or it could be argued that he's just very accurate even after a few drinks.

He didn't punch them over and over, or punch them when they were down.

Pretty sure they were backing away before he sparked them and he definately followed up on of them while on the ground.

Ah, well. The jury must have been wrong, then
