First wasn't jammy, but we should hvve been 2 up by then, in the end we got muscled out of it in the end

Crap second half. First 30 mins of match looked good. A really flukey goal by them and we missed 3 good chances. I don't think the conditions helped us very much but those chances weren't changed by the conditions. We need to be far more lethal with our finishing and have a ref who is competent as this one was a w*nker of the highest order. Lessons to be learnt but not a disaster.

We don't take our gilt-edged chances and their winner is a fluke goal which was intended as a cross. Very disappointing second half.Is it me or has Townsend lost a yard of pace ? Doesn't seem to have that extra burst of pace.I accept he isn't a defender but for both goals the player out wide got past him far too easily. As for our 'Target man' Benteke - his goals to games ratio tells all.I'm not going to raise my blood pressure and get into a lather about him. Edited by Willo (26 Aug 2018 3.33pm)

Don't need to be so down about the performance, wasn't our best but it was the missed changes that cost us, nothing else.

Our passing and possession is beyond s***. We get the ball, stand in one spot with it, and either kick it backwards, or kick it straight to a Watford player. No one could get the ball to Zaha the entire game. We need someone capable of possession in the midfield. Hopefully Meyer. We also missed AWB, because he's one of the only players we have capable of advancing the ball upfield. Our corners suck too. What happened to Luka taking them?

Luck wasn’t with us today but Roy made a series of poor calls, not least the late substitution which we’d all be calling for since half time and immediately affected the game, albeit too late. Next game desperate to see Guaita, Kouyate, Meyer and Ayew given a chance with Wan-Bissake returning and Zaha back on the wing.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

He's f***ing rubbish. Watford are a good side but we made the look a lot better than they are. How was it Hennesseys fault? He is around 6ft 5 and was in the correct position for a cross or shot. He stretched all of that height and it was a flukey hit by their player that 99/100 would have gone sailing over the bar. No keeper would have saved it.

Can’t blame Roy for this game we could and should have been two up We will not progress until Benteke dropped .He just not up to it why can’t Roy and coaches see that put him on bench and give him last 5 min every game

Was watching the game live from Thailand. Every time camera focused on Roy during those horrible first 20 minutes of 2nd half, he seemed lost in space.
