Agenda....Who on earth could think that? Woman's an innocent and not a gritter playing race cards at all.

Just seen a conversation she had with Jeremy Vine, this morning. She clearly stated she has never tweeted about Meghan! About as good as telling the truth as her soulmate Markle. Agenda in full flow

OK. The only transcript I've seen was that provided by Ms. Fulani. I wasn't aware of a recording - who recorded the conversation?

I am sorry, but I regret I cannot recall whether it was on TV or online. It was though pretty forceful, a little sarcastic and disbelieving of the answers, which don't come over via the transcript.

I think this is irrelevant whataboutism.

She may well have an agenda and was complicit in setting it up. We can all have opinions about that, if true.

That though does nothing to excuse the attitude shown by Lady Hussey. Maybe the Lady was targeted because of past, unrecorded behaviour. Who knows. What we do know that what she did this time was unacceptable and has been exposed. It's very embarrassing for the Palace who will need to have a thorough review over future events, who is there and whether recording is restricted to officials only.

Not really irrelevant as it highlights Ms Headley character. As there are now suggestions that the transcript is only one persons recollection of the conversation ( I have not heard it so cannot comment ) if that person is Ms Headley then comments about her memory are indeed relevant.
As a matter of interest if the agenda is true, what is your opinion of basically the entrapment of an 83 yo lady with over 60 years service to the Royal Family?

Her 'British' name is actually Marlene Headly

So, she appropriated a Nigerian name, dressed in an outfit clearly displaying African colours, denied that her 'hertiage' was anything other than British, and was not actually even invited to the event, but attended on the coat-tails of another organisation who thought they were helping her to gain support for her cause. She has also extensively tweeted against the Royal Family and actually accused King Charles and Queen Camilla of perpetrating 'domestic violence' on Meghan Markle.

Lady Susan Hussey has travelled the world for 60+years with the late HM the Queen without complaint or blemish on her character or attitude.

Now tell me, that she did not have an agenda...

Oh, and at a society social occasion, I have actually been asked (as a very white, long heritage English woman) where 'my people' came from - it is nothing more than a polite society attempt to find common ground for conversation. But then, not too many people nowadays are brought up with polite society manners...

Hear Hear.

Your comments warmed the cockles of my heart.
In the final analysis, asking a person about their heritage is NOT racist at all.
There are those who will fervently disagree, that is their prerogative but I will never agree with them on this matter.
I bow down to Nigel Farage for his comments tonight on his GB News channel.

Tonight I had a great deal to spout on this subject and those in my vicinity were on my side of the argument.Suffice to say my comments shall remain private.
This is my final comment on this subject.

And there was I thinking that where are you from, is an invitation to provide a voice portrait as a step to finding common ground to break the ice before a conversation. One word (or no information) answers do not help the process.

It's nasty and must be awful for her. Lady Hussey has handled the aftermath with dignity, clearly ashamed of what she said. I somehow doubt whether she would agree with the defence that some are putting up. She knows she was wrong, whether set up to do it, or not. I have heard it, and it really wasn't very nice.

Ms Headley's character is another subject. Some will believe she was right to expose lingering racism at the top of society. Others that it was a disgusting way to treat an older, possibly infirm lady. Both points of view have merit.

What about the view that asking a person where they come from isn't a crime which should cost someone's job after 60 years of service?

Of course it isn't! You can ask. You can be refused, or be given as answer. That is enough.

This though was not what happened.

Lady Hussey was given answers that she didn't accept, or believe, clearly only because of appearance. She pressed, and then made assumptions. That was racist.

Nigel Farage, Willo and his chums need to actually listen to the conversation and then quietly reflect. Trying to defend this just because the person involved is an elderly, loyal and long standing lady in waiting makes no sense. It was wrong, whether by a 19 year old, or a 90 year old. Show the lady compassion and understanding by all means, but don't try to defend the indefensible.

Different issue. That's for the employer and the employee to decide.

We don't know, and may never know, if she was asked to step aside or offered to when the facts became known.

She may well have had a gentle conversation suggesting that such things were all too much for someone of her age and that she ought to gently withdraw. Being "sacked" might make a good headline but I somehow doubt if it's really true.

You have stated this more than once. I have tried to find a recording, to no avail. I have found a piece 'voiced' by others of Fulani's version of events. And there is a supposed witness to this exchange, a Mandu Reid of the Women's Equality Party, who backs up her story. But no recording of the event.

Please could you provide evidence of this recording. I'd be interested to hear the tone and context of the actual conversation.

Systematically dragged down by the lawmakers
