2 years fury will have been out the ring. Tune up fight might have been sensible.

I'm not really a fan of either fighter for various reasons. But I am a big fan of the fight itself, which needs to happen for the undisputed title to be settled.

If I look dispassionately at the fight I can see how each fighter wins depending upon the approach.

There are some great fights this year, especially heavyweights.

I can see how Fury wins either by points or KO but the only way I see AJ winning is by KO. AJ just doesn’t have the boxing ability to win a decision.

Huge fight. Wait until the publicity machine starts, will transcend boxing.

AJ is a better counter puncher than Fury who I see as going back to his stick and move tactics. I honestly don't know who wins.

I'm just happy we have the fight really.....about fecking time.

To be cynical a two-fight programme raises the strong possibility of 1-1 and a hugely hyped decider. If one of the first two is a draw this could run for ages.

TBH there is very little else out there for either of them
right now anyway. We need to build up some contenders.

With so little competitive boxing in the last year, I think a 'warm-up' fight for either of them is an unnecessary risk, and would delay the bout we really want to see.
The re-match clause is a fairly standard contract stipulation, especially if it's a close fight. Like the Fury Wilder re-match clause, which has obviously now been paid-off.
Both boxers are likely to be very cautious when the bell rings. I can see this being a test of stamina, both for the boxers and viewers

But very glad it seems likely to happen. The re-match will be the better fight.

Who’s out there among the younger fighters? I haven’t seen much of Dubois but presumably he can come again.

Usyk is AJs mandatory. Can see him stepping aside, for a few quid to let them fight, but asking him to step aside for 2 fights will be a Liberty. He will have to have a couple of fights if he does, which he may lose, then he loses his chance.

Oscar De La Hoya

Making a comeback on 3rd of July at the age of 48!

I wonder if this could tempt Mayweather out of retirement for a rematch. Would be massive.

Did he really earn that position though?

The rankings are all made up based upon what the governing bodies think makes the most money.
