The 54-year-old embarked on a three-year plan in the summer, one which holds the £20million development of their academy site at its heart, as well as the £100m redevelopment of Selhurst Park.

In order to fund such commitments, Parish is open about the potential for external investment, though any deal is unlikely to see him sell his 18 per cent share.

He says: “We are looking at ways where we can get some more external funding to help us in those areas.”

External money without equity?

What's the situation with Stephen Browett? A couple of people have told me that he has sold out/left the board.

Let's all be honest, Parish can't do what he keeps telling us he's going to do with the club. He simply can't afford to upgrade Selhurst or invest what we need to in the team. He can say he wants outside investment but if he's not willing to step aside that's unlikely to happen. No one is going to invest £100 millions into a club and not have control of it. He'll never leave because he loves the limelight too much.
So he's either yanking our chains to keep us happy and off his back or he's deluded.

With Roy now publicly stating it is the American investors who are preventing us from signing players [Link] we have to really hope we can kick them out of the club and find investors who want to help the club move forward. Roy is working miracles really while clubs in and around us (even Newcastle) continue to spend.

The Americans have wanted to sell their investment for quite some time now. So clearly they will not sanction any further funding of the club from their own pockets.

Hardly a case of kicking them out when they want out !

The questions that you should be considering is why Steve Parish has failed to attract any alternative investors and why Harris and Blitzer have been unable to sell their share of the club

All valid points but I just find it hard to take to see our football club being hurt by investors who have no interest in the wellbeing of the club other than to line their pockets. I understand the questioning of Parish, but at least he actually cares what happens to our club. It seems what we need is someone looking to buy into a club as something to enjoy and be part of, rather than as a business interest (albeit that may be fanciful thinking) such as appears to be the case at clubs like Everton. F*** the Americans.

Roy has made his feelings clear, so why has Parish not prioritised actively seeking out new investors.
While we have owners who by Roy's own words don't want to go into the transfer market, we will never improve or move forward. You could see Roy was fuming in the press conference after the game.

It's been widely reported that Palace are up for sale. Parish has been looking for new investment.

So far none have been forthcoming.

And none will be forthcoming as long as Parish insists on keeping his stake and running the club.

No-one is going to pump hundreds of millions into a company that they don't control

American investors see premiership clubs as cash cows rather than passion for the sport. They want to take out as much as possible on their original investments rather than re-investing. You can see why Arsenal fans are moaning about the club's American owners.

We don't know exactly the problem behind the scene that is stumbling block our progress in the transfer market. We just think that all the colourful drawings and plans on the proposed upgrade of Selhurst Park might be just a red herring.

Spot on that guy is taking and putting nothing into the club yet people want to keep blaming the Americans all the time.

It's business that is how you operate you want to make money not lose it's nothing to do with passion for the sport just look at a former owner who had passion for the club put money in.

You are just making up things look again from day one the Americans came in to invest in the training plus stadium with a large sum that was suppose to be be ring fenced to do this yet then ended up pumping in a load of cash for transfers.

Arsenal fans are just ungrateful like so many big clubs fans they all think they should be winning every season and look at their spends you will see they did spend money just in wrong areas.

Well why was so much money wasted on doing all these plans etc for stadium when it was never going to happen poor running of the club again which we all know whos in charge of that o wait forgot that blokes untouchable isn't he.
