Has people will see from my posts I'm not a fan of the way we are playing under Roy, but all this about sacking or him walking out away is rubbish. Roy is a gentlemen and I don't think he is the type of man to walks away and nor should he.Sacking him would be mad unless our position get much much worse than it is now.I also don't think we should renew his contact like we have with some of the players.Roy please tire to be more positive about the way we play just have ago who knows you may like it.

Gentlemen told the troops to walk slowly towards German machine guns repeatedly during WWI. Being a gentleman is no guarantee of tactical understanding or doing the right thing.

Thank you, I am as you correctly surmise incredibly frustrated. We all love this team, the vast majority of us hate the way we are currently playing and fear that as close as the top 6 position in the league is, then so is the 18th.

I hate the way our players fail to make the most of their opportunities, it appears though that the majority hate Hodgson when our players fail to make the most of their opportunities, now you can see the issues I have with fans that I feel are being very harsh on our manager lol

I can well imagine how boring it can be for players. Roy has a football algorithm that he sticks to no matter what. His view will be that if you stick to it then over the course of a season then we will be safe and maybe get a little extra.

It is such a strange season that I have hovered between thinking we could push for top 6 to feeling like we could be bottom of the table the next minute.

I will fear relegation untill we are safe but one of the big positives for me is that we never look like a team who is lacking confidence and that is down to this boring structure that we play. A lot of the time you just need to look at a team to see they are in trouble especially when they go a goal down but with us we just continue on as normal.

The fact that Roy will not panic and change things will stand to us in the run in. We have picked plenty of points in the home stretch over the last couple of years.

We really should have gone for Ferguson. Hottest property
In The Championship
Whoever lands him has a player of huge talent , whose value will
Increase tenfold ...Even if he wouldn’t have kicked a ball until next season it was a stupid decision to back away
He’s 19 years old ffs and only going to get better and better

Roy is now the bookies favourite to be the next Premier manager to be sacked, his odds have tumbled from 33/1 to evens.

About right !!

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

I was speaking to someone over the weekend who had been watching Soccer Saturday. When discussing Palace, Jeff Stelling actually said he had been speaking to Mark Bright, and the main objective is not to put the club into jeopardy.

Having seen the club rescued from administration twice, the current owners arent looking to get into a position where that could happen again.

That should spell out to everyone that at present we wont be spending ££££'s. This is unlikely to change unless there are new owners.

What is more concerning is that we currently have a manager who can keep us afloat on this small budget. And even he has raised concerns this weekend about the aging squad.

Where we are now is maybe the best we will achieve.

I think this is evident, but on the Red and Blue Review podcast there was some extra information that came to light which suggests that there IS money there to buy players....what seems to be the case though is that there's a disconnect between the players being offered to Hodgson and those he will accept.

My own personal view is that it would appear Hodgson is happy playing the way he is with who he has and as a result is able to 'hide' or even perpetuate the lack of depth in the squad to cover up for his lack of ability to adapt and change. This must be incredibly frustrating for the likes of SP and even the Americans who are [allegedly] trying to provide that depth only to be thwarted by their own incompetence (Ollie Watkins), injury (Fergusson) or Roys insistence players aren't worth the money (Jarred Bowen).

That said...our recruitment policy is clearly not functioning if we're getting schooled in the transfer market by the likes of Hull!

We will probably never know the truth whoever is at fault maybe playing the blame game. We don't even know the relationship between Roy and Dougie. Does Roy give Dougie a list of target and say get me one of those or is it the other way round?

I'd watch or listen to the podcast to make up your own mind...its the latter by in large.

The person with the title "Head of Recruitment & Performance Analysis" is a Ben Stevens. What he actually does and whether he is too blame for the appalling recruitment over the last year. I guess he is in charge of the scouts, who don't seem to find any decent players in Europe, only other Premier teams cast offs.
