i agree with you football is expensive, however that screenshot you posted, is that for the main stand. tickets in the AW or hol lower start at £30 for most games of £38 for cat a games. still expensive, but not the £48 in your pic. £30 is still £29 too much to sit in those crippling seats.

I say this with a heavy heart, I wont be able to attend games at the club I love and will this season have to go and watch my local town (Bromley FC) in the conference league at £15 a ticket and that will sadly be the team my daughter grows up to watch. I will forever be a Palace fan but sadly my days of going to Palace have ended. I feel your pain mate,but your family,y should always come first.

What's a club without its fans, and how is someone supposed to introduce their kids to the club in a meaningful way if they can't even afford to attend games? Then there's travel expenses heaped on and the like. Some have mentioned work arounds, but it shouldn't be something you have to resort to in my view. That's commercialisation on steroids for you and all that comes with it. The game seeks to empty the pockets of the working man, rather than cater to him.

There's no way I'd pay for tickets for my family every home game if we didn't have season tickets, the prices have suddenly gone ridiculous and 'crossed the line' I've been going to my local non-league club for the last year or so (when I can), and after half a dozen games or so, the regulars start to recognise you and have a chat. Before you know it you are totally accepted and welcomed, and made to feel really valued. Within half a season you are part of the furniture and considering doing a voluntary role there! I've had a season ticket and followed Palace home and away for 30+ years but could easily switch to following the non-league club 'full time' and not really miss Palace. The hassle of arriving super-early just to park nearby, getting good seats at away games, and just the sheer cost of everything, it's a turn off to be honest.

Would soon make the TV companies think. Look at Spain, court case regarding Friday & Monday night games. It is the only way to keep youngsters coming through as real fans. not armchair fans. I know a lot of people who can't afford to go more than ponce or twice a season now. Should the players donate some of their wages to a fund to keep the ticket prices at £20? I think so
