Interesting week for the Tories. Trump is coming to town just what they need. I have no doubt that Boris has told Trump's people don't mention the election or who you favour. The journalists will ask him of course just for a bit of mischief and Trump is just as likely to say vote Boris and we British being a contrary lot , well there goes the neighbourhood. Odd but Corbyn might find Trump his greatest electoral asset.

I would think though from the polls that it's very hard for any intersection at this stage to change things in a big way. That said, we live in surprising times!

Once a lead is down to 7% this really is verging on 'Hung Parliament' territory. I did assert on HOL about a week ago when polls indicated a comfortable Conservative lead that we weren't going to get carried away at all. Edited by Willo (01 Dec 2019 12.08pm)

People seem to have pretty made up their mind about him and I suspect that the same issues that supposedly made him unelectable are the same ones that is driving elements of the support for Johnson now. Yes a lot of hot noise but will it make any difference to how people vote? Brexit represents rebellion against the status-quo. Trump benefited from that and I struggle to see how he can harm Johnson in anyway. If anything, might actually help.

When is election anyway? How long will these slippy politicians be on the telly? Politics is boring, the whole thing is doing my head in. Do we get a day off to vote? Straight in Witherspoons on the front of so, make a day of it. In't 2017 some bint with an orange badge giv me and Mrs a lift to voting station and we went into town from there. Not even registered to vote. Should've seen her face lol

Correct. When indicating the possessive, an apostrophe after the s is only acceptable if the noun that ends in an s indicates a plural. Eg: "Boris's traditional family unit" and "the Conservatives' manifesto".

Couldn't answer any question at all so just kept talking. Largely repeating the standard mantras drummed into him by Cummings. If he becomes PM for a sustained period we are all fooked By the way, tell me where JRM has gone. It's not as if he is an electoral liability after all... So in the end we are left with a whole lot of nothing from the Conservative Party, on the basis they believe it's the best way to stay ahead. The idea that Corbyn could even get close to beating Johnson or a hung parliament is about as realistic as expecting or hoping that the Tories could win in London again.....thankfully the demographics of London and other cities aren't replicated in most of the country yet. Once Johnson was elected Tory leader Corbyn was toast as a possible PM. What is going to be fascinating is watching what Labour do after the defeat......Will Corbyn stay?
