A bit of a handfull as i recall.
205 GTi for me. The 1.6 was less corrupted by power than the 1.9 so probably the purer drivers car.

Ah, but with the old cars at least you could open the bonnet if you had a problem and get it sorted yourself. Now everything needs a diagnostic computer. Mind, those were the same days when the AA man on his motorcycle saluted every car with an AA badge on.... even at 60 mph on an A road! A stairway to Heaven and a Highway to Hell give some indication of expected traffic numbers
