(Tsh boom) I went to uni there and remember being so cold that on my first night out I went to the Tuxedo Princess with a jumper on. Spent the entire night being laughed at for wearing a jumper and utterly confused that the nightclub was a boat with a revolving dance floor.

Offload Wilf. Clear out Benteke, Sakho, Wickham. Townsend now focused on his media career, (on Talksport now, soon to be on Sky methinks. Meyer not good enough, and high wages. Jach just not good enough, and Hennessey who never was good enough. Clears down the finances, leaves room for a decent bid for Edouard, Fraser (wages only), Bella-Kotchap (cheap), Conor Gallagher from Chelsea, Flynn Downes from Ipswich (cheap) and Alex Bass from Portsomouth (cheap). With Ferguson and Eze that would be a busting window. 8 out, 8 in, kids involved, and the decent core of the team remaining in place for the immediate future. I would even be happy to see Roy there for a while to organise them and try something different. Don't want to see the post-lock down dross we had the last few months ever again. If that happens

If that happens It's a good looking plan. Unfortunately for it to work you'll need to find a buyer for those players that you mentioned. A Gary Glitter tribute act will probably see more interest than we will for any of those players. Even Wilf with his desperate 'come and get me' pleas has drummed up very little attention. I do however believe that those incomings (except Edouard) that you listed could still be possible without selling Wilf (our only half asset). Edited by samprior (27 Aug 2020 6.13pm)

I think you could find buyers for all of those players. I’d prefer to keep Meyer and Townsend though. Sakho is very highly thought of in France. Benteke is highly thought of Belgium. Wickham could always interest a championship club or even a Scottish Prem side. I don’t have any confidence in Hennessy but he’s got experience and I would rather than 3rd keeper was let go and we signed a young prospect. Trouble is the 3rd keeper just signed a new deal.
