(As opposed to reading what someone else says it says/means distilled through the lens of their own viewpoint.) It is no more radical, no more open to interpretation than any other religious text. You can read any book and find something in it to object to politically, morally or otherwise. Why not ban all books? Maybe take the ones we don't like to a big square and burn them? Oh hang on someone tried that once didn't they? Or do what ISIS did and put them in a cage and burn them alive like the Syrian pilot.

I can read a book and admire it's qualities (of prose or storytelling or descriptive narrative say,) whilst disliking the content. A PHD in literature from a good left wing university meant I often studied books I didn't necessarily like...
