Quite so. Were I to have accidentally bought something possibly involving forced labour in the 1970s (most of my clothing dates back a bit) is identical to me getting together with my mates, buying a ship, sending that ship across the world, buying hundreds of slaves, sticking them on the ship knowing many would die a horrible death en route and then shipping them to another far flung part of the world. Then continuing to 'own' not only them but also their progeny.

It is estimated that Britain transported 3.1 million Africans (of whom 2.7 million arrived) to the British colonies in the Caribbean, North and South America. Before that it supplied the Spanish and Portuguese colonies. The British slave trade started in 1562 and the British Empire finally abolished Slavery in 1833.

So after 271 years, it is a good thing that humanity finally won in Britain, we can be so proud. We continue to work on our aspiration to stop slavery.

I think you not reading my posts is what I prefer and it's only balanced that I don't bother with yours (which you yourself suggested)...unless it's short of course....which makes it kind of unavoidable.

As stated when Hol gets a block option many of us will be happier.

Unfortunately one of the biggest differences and problems with SOME African cultures and too many West Indian men in recent times is the lack of fathers in the home or even in a relationship in the first place. Without this problem a lot of issues disappear.
