Whoever wins this coming election there are going to be huge problems with the losing side accepting. It's going to widen the already gaping rift considerably.

We can see just how weak the union between left and right is. Rifts that have always existed now have a major looming potential to be a catalyst for break up.

For me, outside of the beginnings of a split from this election result. the second amendment looks to be the most obvious contender.

The shooting in Kenosha highlights the huge cultural difference in attitude towards the second amendment. In the video I've seen the shootings are self defence, however the guy has been charged with intentional homicide in the Democratic state.

Republican states are not going to implement Democratic ideas on gun control. The Democrats will try to be sneaky and try to inch it forward but it isn't going to work.

Just like the civil war was about more than just slavery, the coming split will be more than just gun control but perhaps it will be the deciding issue.

If you attack a guy with a gun he is gonna shoot you there is nothing to suggest that the rioters wouldn't take the gun off him and shoot him and one guy who got shot pulled a gun on him. It's clear as day self defense going by law. For the record I dont think Open carry should be legal and its crazy that it is but it is legal. By law this kid was defending himself however he will get charged on crossing borders with a weapon that's unavoidable. America is on the brink of civil war believe me.

If it happens and it's probable we'll see China take immediate advantage.....Russia too, where it can.

If I were Taiwan right now I'd be investing heavily in defence....I should check it out perhaps they have.

Israel and the middle east as well would be in an interesting position.

The world would soon come to realise just how important US power was to keeping the peace in different world regions.

The left sneer but eventually they are going to find out.

These are the people the Democrats and all the corporates support and fund.

Reminds me a little of Maoist China.

It is the hysteria that is scary. Akin to an almost religious mania. And they are white, doing that to another white person. That is the conflict. Not black v white.

That is why this is so dangerous and why the notion of 'civil' war is more relevant than race.

The biggest pill by a huge margin I have taken in the last few months is the white one.

Trump's brash, unappologetic, and decisive. He gives great sound bites and makes sure the media is always talking about him. I don't agree with him on many issues, but people like a politician who shows genuine passion.

The days of well polished and evasive politians seem to be over.

Joe Biden is a terrible candidate, possibly worse than Hilary. I have a feeling that the American voter is going to give the democrats a kick in, like how Corbyn & labour were hammered at the last election.

Biden's campaign will centre around how he's not Trump. They'll make the republican party and it's voters out to be the nasty party. Labour failed in 2019 and the Tories in 1997 by following exactly this negative campaign stratergy.

His tag lines are terrible "Build back better" and "the battle for the soul of the nation". Not really what people who believe they live in the greatest nation on earth want to hear.

Reminds me a bit of that terrible IDS quote "Never underestimate the determination of a quiet man" or Milliband's "Hell yeah in toffee nuts".

The Democrats need to lose heavily in order to kick out all the people holding power in the party and go back to listening to what voters want.

Halcyon days

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Give a chimp a camera and eventually they’ll come up with a few almost coherent sentences that have no value.

She has a point , always hated algebra and logarythams, anyone remember the log book? Ours were handed down from the previous years, ink stained, minute numbers and as she says, what would you need it for?

White trash- reminds me of the football lads in hyde park attacking two girls for having a picnic, spat in ones face, shocking behaviour and attacking innocent diners, whether outside a bar as in this case or in hyde park! If these are the democrats, then the hyde park lads alliance were the republicans, shocking any which way!
