Trump really has driven people, even some of those close to him, completely around the bend. This man appears to genuinely believe that Trump will be President for the next four years, when surely regardless of politics, left or right, that is a remarkably unlikely outcome.

Matthau, if (aka when) Joe Biden is President later this month, in 'that scenario' at least how will be perceive it? Will you switch to a 'this must all be part of Q's plan too!' line of thought, or instead accept that what you've believe in no way correlates with reality?

The F.B.I. arrest two men who had carried plastic restraints into the Capitol. - [Link]

“carrying plastic restraints, an item in a holster on his right hip..”

Good luck explaining that one, pal!

I think he does believe believe it unfortunately, and will definately switch as suits the agenda, no time limits, just safe in the knowledge the don will return, one day, maybe in this life, maybe not!

Sen. Joe Manchin is 'open' to statehood for D.C., Puerto Rico - [Link]

I can't really see this happening, but it would be ironic if DC became a state soon after this. Another twist in the tale.

I'd suggest waiting until after the inauguration to engage and have that chat. A lot of the main platforms outside of the 8kun/parlor etc. echo chambers (eg. facebook, twitter etc.) facilitating endless regurgitation of all this nonsense had been trimming back and removing groups etc. even before the latest clean up – it's not coincidental that certain posters have been posting on here with more regularity as a result. Gotta spread the word somehow.

It's also mainly one way traffic, the methodology is to post post post, there's no debate as the sheep are not awake yet, so cannot be reasoned with. Notice they go quiet when certain things don't happen. You can expect that to happen after inauguration day. Gives time for the machine to come up with a new fantasy for them to obsess over.

Endless reposting and copy pasting of propaganda rather than debate is also not particularly beneficial to anyone, and I'd argue not to the benefit of this or any thread. It's no different to a flat earther or reglious nut posting endless nonsense about why the earth is flat or why god is real. By all means have your belief system but don't endlessly force it on others.

You can have a belief system and still be able to formulate your own opinions.

To see how popular Trump is currently, since Nov 5th indeed, I refer you to the upset wins of Warnock and Ossoff.

That number took a nose dive after he incited an insurrection resulting in the deaths of 5 people, including law enforcement.

Law and order president?

Normal people are sick and tired of the bulls*** noise of Trump's presidency.

I say seriously and stoically to any Trump supporter: Now is the time to repent and seek forgiveness for blindly supporting the most dangerous, deranged, dishonest and outright sociopathic president in history.

It gives me no pleasure to say that I told you so, but a man such as Trump being president could only lead to one conclusion, something akin to the horrific scenes that we saw.

This goes beyond the polarization of the left vs the right in this country or over there. This is a dangerous and delusional madman who no longer lives in the world of remote reality.

If that mob had gotten their hands on Mike Pence, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer or Mitt Romney there would have been more murders.

When you whip a bunch of radical right halfwits into a "patriot" frenzy this is what you get. Its all a game to Trump, its all a real estate deal.

Gretchen Whitmer would be dead now if it wasnt for law enforcement, down to Trump. He has coddled and courted white supremacists and radical right wing nuts since Steve Bannon and Stephen Miller told him he needed them.

Without his social media he will slide into the shadows soon enough.

If Trump doesnt end up in jail, its down to the calmness and concept of the greater good inside president elect Joe Biden's head.

You are, of course, completely correct. It's what some of us have been saying with increasing levels of desperation for the past 5 years. Don't hold your breath for any apologies though, even if I do detect a degree of reluctant acceptance from a couple of the more reasonable posters here.

I have been aware of the propensity of a section of US society to believe the most ridiculous conspiracy theories ever since 9/11. It shocked me to hear it back then as it came from otherwise seemingly normal people and was so out of kilter with what I was familiar with in the UK. Trying to understand why has occupied my thoughts very often. I think I understand better now than I did then, but it's complicated and still seems irrational to me.

What is more disappointing is to realise that we have a few in the UK who have been swept up in this. There have always been people on the fringes (I was once shocked to realise that someone I worked with had a shrine to Hitler in his home) but the emergence of Trump has given them wind in their sails and emboldened them. I hope that as Trump fades into the shadows they do too.

Dealing with Trump is important but I agree with the Democrats preparing an impeachment, which if passed would avoid him being able to stand again, but postpone sending it to the Senate for 100 days. There are more important things than triumphalism that need our very urgent, coordinated attention. The world is gripped by a crisis such as we have never seen. It must work together to overcome it and those who refuse to help will have to be ignored for the time being. This is not the time for petty debates about "rights". This is the time for action and we don't want anything getting in the way of that.

For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally.

Your post does read as someone who is all for closing down free speech. Who gives a monkeys what people post, everyone is entitled to an opinion and there are lots on here on both sides who just copy and paste as if it’s their own work. If you don’t like what others write, just ignore it.

Incorrect

There is a difference between posting a personally constructed opinion and the repetitive reposting and copy pasting of fake news.

One is free speech, the other is spamming.
