You really do have a terrible problem with the truth don't you and can never accept being wrong.

Constantly dragging up misrepresentations, which have been repeatedly and comprehensively shown to be untrue, in a petty attempt at defamation is a pretty disgusting trait.

I suggest you take a break from your determination to always be right and seeking to defend the indefensible just because it might mean you have to admit you have been wrong in the past.

Take a walk or go and lie down to contemplate how life will be after you have been vaccinated. Maybe commit yourself to going out to help a few poor immigrants who are suffering as a result of the pandemic. In other words, try to be a decent guy for a change. It's good for your soul.

TBF you could be writing about yourself in this post.

I would gladly put you in touch with my brother, who has supported Palace even longer than I have, but he is now 90, unwell and has never used the HOL. He doesn't suffer fools very well either so I won't raise his blood pressure by trying.

No doubt you will though dismiss that as just a "story". More truth you have difficulty with.

Stop waffling at us with stories and take the bet.

I do enjoy a Stirling v Wisbech ding-dong, it must be said!

Here's an hour and 15 minute movie that's right up to date. On topic too.

Enjoy!

Tbh there is only 1 fool. The one who lost everything gambling. Hopefully though you support him financially when he needs it as you are in a position to.

So I suggest you go to one and offer them the chance to take your money. I'm not interested. You can keep it.

Our country is built on gambling, it’s called the stock market and it is no different to gambling on a football match (just easier to fix the result).

Yep, and many pensions rely upon it.

Frankly I don't believe you.

You were the one to talk of 'very very long odds', so I see nothing wrong with a one off bet with one person....No one is asking you to start a gambling career only back your own words.

Still, free country isn't it.....Except with people like you deciding things of course.

Why don’t you demand he arm wrestles you

In 2018 I think the government instructed water supply companies to meter all water to all properties. This is to be completed this year I think. Water wastage will impact all of us and this I think is a sensible move. Tbh I've saved money since mine was installed and you probably will too.
One bit of advice is to check whether your rain water runs to a drain or a soak away. Your bill will generally charge about £25 per year for this drainage. If it's a soakaway it's free. A google search should answer where it goes. Good luck and it may be back payable for x years. Might be worth a look as it's your money

I might be wrong but I thought all rainwater from houses ran into soakaways rather than main drainage. I thought it was where the water used inside the house went which determined whether you paid extra for disposal.

Where I live has a septic tank so everything we use goes in there. My rental properties are on main drainage they get an extra charge for disposing of the waste calculated at 90% of the incoming water. It's assumed you actually consume 10%. The rainwater there though all goes to soakaways. As it doesn't need treatment that makes sense to me.

Only if you regard investing as gambling. I regard it as taking a calculated risk which history has taught has paid off more times than not. Betting has the opposite history.

So long as you spread the risk and/or transfer the responsibility to experts, you are unlikely to lose and should you then you will be in the same boat as most people. We are all invested in the stock market if we have pensions or have any kind of savings.

I have taken calculated risks during my life and on balance have done well as a result. I haven't though placed a bet with a bookmaker, except as a bit of fun during a day at the races. Then I expected to lose. And did.

You are wrong. Most run-off goes into the sewers and is charged for as 'surface water drainage' somewhere within your bill. You can have this removed if you direct your run-off into a soakaway.

Some properties benefit from a 'non-return to sewer' dispensation, for example if you direct used water into a soakaway or if you have e.g. a zillion plants to water.

I never knew this grandad. He had lost everything before I was born. His business, his home and his wife and family. He disappeared completely. One of my cousins in researching the family history traced him apparently but I don't have any information.

My brother didn't lose everything, but he did impoverish himself. He had some fun on the way mind. He liked to play the big man at the race course and have a roll of notes to flash about, betting 100s at a time. His biggest mistake though was being caught in boiler room scams which cost him very heavily.
