Why oh why when the government target of 100k last friday was clearly not achieved, unless we count the 40k in the post, would the prime minister want to increase it to 200k by the end of the month? Yesterday the people tested number had achieved 69k, and all week they haven"t been near the 100k, it"s just another target not to hit! And the PPE fiasco has today got worse, never mind not using the 3 warehouse full of PPE offered to them, by ignoring the mails, they went to Spain and Italy instead, while we sent the RAF to Istanbul to collect a plane or two of PPE, that arrived two days late, and only half the agreed amount! Now turns out to be useless and not up to british standard, you couldn"t make it up! I like Boris but i can see even his greatest allies falling away from him as clearly he or his cabinet are not up to the job, i doubt that history will be good top them on this crisis, time will tell.I can"t see Boris in the job full term, shame, as i do like him , just nopt up to the job and keir Starmer will make him look like a rabbit caught in headlights when the inquest begins over the commons floor!

I would love to see the government hit their target, unfortunately for what ever reason (lack of capacity, testing criteria being too small, lack of staff to implement), it isn’t being hit.

If as the government say we have capacity for 100,000 tests a day, why would you waste roughly 20,000 capacity a day not testing people?

Perhaps people can’t be bothered. My wife is eligible for a test but she feels there is no point, she had bad cough, sore throat, nausea in February, so probably has had it, considering her occupation

We've suffered badly because we were too slow to react and in the good ol' British tradition disorganised at all levels. We were unprepared, our lockdown was tardy ... we STILL have open borders ... and we've had long enough now to manufacture our own PPE and testing equipment. How could that be? Is it due to too many ar$e licking brown nosers telling their bosses what they want to hear rather than doing their jobs properly? All the Civil Service is supposedly working on full pay ... not that you'd know it from the plethora of c0ck ups. I fear we are not even playing catch up because, in some cases, it seems we still haven't embarked on the journey.
