Yeah, big business will be the reason we go back to work, time will tell if it"s a right or wrong move.

Personally think it will be wrong but I can understand the need to get the economy moving again

I saw an interview last week by Piers Morgan with Tony Blair. Morgan asked him if he attended all Cobra meetings when PM. Blair stated I’m not sure I did, I can’t remember. Not the reply PM wanted, so probably not unusual, maybe they have confidence in the other members of Cobra. To say Boris was not interested is a bit low, maybe, just maybe, he was already suffering from Covid. Let’s not forget he nearly died

I don"t buy the nearly died bit mate, thats a good sympathy line to go easy on him, he wasn"t on a ventilator and probably in icu as a precaution, but we will never know, for now anyway! On the cobra missing meetings, i can understand one or two, but not all five! Either he was not interested for whatever reason(bar almost dying), or the cobra team in place were all absolutely useless with no handle on the meeting and should all be pumped! Take your pick mate, but not the almost dying story!

Yeah, i heard that to, maybe after the reports the pm could have attended the first 5 meetings on the subject?Show a bit of interest surely? He didn"t, thats not great mate, is it?

The pm can delegate and a very high rank minister would be there in his place. Cobr meetings are i think generally discussions and information. Decisions arnt made there and then. Situations and responses are spoken about. Then they go away and look at the practicality of any decisions they feel they have to make. This would all be fed back to the main man. Delegating is an art form. If he trusts his delegate what is the problem? I'm sure if you had a business you wouldn't fail to delegate someone to go on your behalf to some meetings. You would then dot the I's and cross the T's. There is always another job for bosses.

Your opinion which is your prerogative. I personally tend to believe he was very ill, my prerogative. Not buying he was not interested, sorry

Fair enough, then surely the people who attended should be fired for not informing the pm of the need for emergency measures and PPE? After all, they had 5 meetings to discuss the details.

More the growing debt burden from furlough schemes and purely to have a functioning economy that IS society.

Can"t be bothered to read them mate, but if you say they"re lies i will take your word for it, no, i make my own mind up, i think he was ill, but not near death, but the truth will out eventually, maybe that new zealand nurse will write a book and resign, living off the profits!I think it was a bit convenient for all the front men to come down with the virus at the same time when the heat was on, but thats just my opinion, not facing the press for a week or two, but thats just my opinion, and you are entitled to yours!

And when i say ill, i mean as ill as half the posters on here have said they think they had it in feb, jan, dec, etc, only boris was tested, and obviously as Chryrst said, is more important to the country than us, so had to go into hospital and icu where all the life saving equiptment is, as a precaution, maybe we all should have the luxuary of a text and a precautionary hospital bed , just in case?
