Bearing in mind we are being forced to give up meat.

Forced? Doubt it. Priced out maybe.

We are told how bad eating meat is both for us and the environment. That's next after cars and boilers!

Meat should continue to be farmed and eaten but in far smaller amounts.

Ruminants in particular are very good for soil and are not the carbon producing monsters some people think.

We should not eat chicken or pork very much. Almost all soy grown is to feed farmed animals. Not, in fact, those lily livered vegans Stirling is so keen on deriding.

The big question for the future though is whether you prefer your soylent red, yellow or green.

We’ll see how rationing goes. It’ll be down to price and supply/demand as usual.

I wonder what the figures are on flu deaths since this started with that being named as the principle cause of death.

You keep saying stupid things like this.

Guess what, the flu virus does not appear to be as contagious as the SARS-CoV-2 virus. So if you are going to catch something it is likely you will get COVID-19 well before the flu gets to you. People are locked down. Very few people should be catching the flu. Even using relatively basic control measures will drastically reduce flu transmission, COVID is much harder to control.

Please stop this 'it's all a conspiracy and it's not that bad a problem' nonsense. It makes you look a total idiot and it is massively disrespectful to those trying to manage the situation and those who have lost loved ones. Count the bodies or ask a Nurse.

Rather than insults and lies about what I think it would just be nice to have an answer.

If you can't provide one then it was a pointless reply.

You really wanted some data? And there I was thinking you were banging the same old drum again

This is the most recent I can find that is solely Flu

[Link]

I think it may have moved on to a joint flu and COVID report, as below

[Link]

Flu activity, including GP consultations and hospital admissions, remains low.

Flu vaccine uptake is higher in all groups compared to this time last year.

Thank you.

Our housing schemes contain around 250 to 300 people each.

In the past week we have been seeing about three hospitalisations per scheme per day from COVID-19. Some have died. Ambulances are taking between 5 and 24 hours to arrive to seriously ill elderly people.

Our scheme staff are crapping themselves. Even though our residents are all over 55 and many over 80 our staff aren't allowed vaccinations. So they go into apartments where people are dying of COVID-19 with basic PPE- as recommended - and no other protection.

Meanwhile dozens of our staff are getting ill, both in Schemes and Care Homes. This is so much worse than anything we have seen to date.

And loads of our Care Staff have been scared into not getting vaccinated, despite the vaccinations taking place at their Care Home.

Please forgive me if I come across grumpy.
